Meaning “field of peace”, this detached cottage located in the quiet hamlet of Clachan is a really charming property in a wonderful setting. Ach-Na-Sythe is all on one level but has really spacious interiors providing comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people. There is a well sized kitchen and lounge area with open fire, as well as up to date bathroom with shower. The three bedrooms are all lovingly furnished with two having French doors opening onto a small balcony perfect for admiring the views out across the gardens. A river runs through the garden and has been known for trout and salmon to be caught in its waters, with the surrounding landscape providing some good varieties of small birds and plant life. A number of walks surround the area, including a stunning sandy beach about 20 minutes stroll away, and the local village has all the essentials you'll need during your stay.

The accommodation is all on ground floor level, heated by electricity and comprises: Lounge:  with open fire, satellite TV and DVD Kitchen / diner:  with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and French doors overlooking the rear garden Bedroom 1:  with king-size bed, French doors leading to Juliet balcony Bedroom 2:  with double bed, French doors leading to Juliet balcony Bedroom 3:  with two single beds Bathroom:  with shower over bath, WC and wash basin

All electricity included.  First supply of coal for open fire provided. Bed linen and towels supplied.  Travel cot and high chair available.

The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region

This region has a contrasting landscape of lochs, mountains, forests and coastline and it's therefore no coincidence that it's one of the most popular holiday destinations in Scotland. Its popularity is easy to understand when you consider the mouth watering attractions within its boundaries; which include the beautiful Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park in the west and the wonderful forests, mountains and rivers which are characteristic of Tayside and Perthshire to the east. The city of Stirling can also be found in this area, with its rich historical significance in Scottish history and connections to William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. The beautiful and unique coastlines here, both on the west coast and east coast, are ideal holiday destinations. Stretching in the west from Oban in the north down to Strathclyde and the Ayr coast, and in the east the coast extends from Dundee and Angus south the along the Fife coast to Edinburgh.


The surrounding area of Argyll has an endless amount to explore including fishing, on sites like Loch Awe with its brown trout and pike or salmon on the River Orchey. It is also home to the Bein Cruachan mountain range. At over 3000ft, the range features several peaks including the ‘The Hollow Mountain' which describes the power station built within the mountain itself. With a cavern the size of the Tower of London used to house a massive power station gathering hydro electricity a kilometre under the ground! The site is open to visitors almost all year round and truly is a one off experience. There is also an abundance of historical sites within the area such as the ruins of Kilchurn Castle and Conan's Kirk all with their own story of the area to tell.
