I was thinking how to respond to this review as although it was complementary about the cottage I felt it was personal against myself and my husband . I take great pride in the appearance of our cottage and how I deal with all our guests treating them with kindness and honesty . I really do not know how this couple would know whether damage had been caused or not as they were not saying upstairs in the master bedroom but at the other end of the cottage. Unfortunately we didn't inspect upstairs and I so wish we had so a lesson has been learnt . I am sure when you read the positive reviews of others you can see that I have a good relationship with our guests , try to be as helpful as possible and try hard to make sure the entire holiday is a great experience.

We were disappointed to receive this review as we tried hard to resolve this issue. As mentioned in the previous response we take great pride in the appearance of our cottage and personally clean and maintain it to the highest standards so our guests can have a stress free holiday . It is unfortunate that we didn't find the damage until after the guest had left so an email was sent with no ill will or attitude on how we could go about resolving this , I felt this was reasonable but it was a shame our guest felt we didn't even have a right to mention this . Ultimately we decided to leave it as it was obvious no one was going to take responsibility . We are glad that they enjoyed the beauty of the cottage and surrounding areas and had a great holiday at Laurel cottage .
