Keepers has recently been built on an oak frame, using traditional materials and looks over a 10 acre wood on the small holding at Greenfield Farmhouse where Peter and Marilyn have a pedigree flock of Welsh mountain badger face sheep.
The accommodation has been furnished to a 4 star standard and includes a double bed room, shower room with under floor heating, drying/airing cupboard and a living area with the kitchen, dining table and sitting room. In the sitting room is a double sofa bed. There is a balcony over looking the woodland where birds are numerous and come to feed. The nut hatch and wood peckers are among the frequent visitors. Other views are across beautiful rolling countryside towards Hay Bluff and the Black mountains.
There is plenty to do being close to the River Wye, canoeing is popular, golf at the friendly Kington Club, horse riding, cycling in the hills and of course it is a well known area for hill walking with Offa's Dyke and other mapped trails near by.
Being on the Welsh borders there are castles, churches and market towns near by, Hay on Wye being world famous for its annual book festival, Ludlow for its quality food markets and Leominster for antiques.
The area is a well kept secret offering peace and quiet but with many activities and places to visit nearby.
