A few minutes walk takes you to the private beach, and Kingsdown Village itself is also a short stroll away. It is a small country village which has a post office, butchers and Supermarket, but the essentials: Bread, Milk etc. can be purchased from the site. The main site car park is only metres away and no cars are allowed on site making it very safe for children to play.

Kingsdown area
Ferries to France and the Continent may be taken from Dover approz. 5 miles away, plus Dover castle itself has a very interesting history. Walmer Castle is within three minutes drive, and a little further on is the historic town of Deal with it's Castle. Near to the site is the local golf course. Howletts Zoo is approx 30 mins drive away.

Further details indoors: The Chalet has double doors opening from the lounge to the front veranda. The lounge has free standing heaters, with heaters to the bedrooms in case of an occasional chilly evening. There is a well equipped galley Kitchen which leads to a Separate Dining Room with glazed door opening onto rear decking, with plants, table and chairs for alfresco dining.
A steep staircase leads from the lounge to the floor above, for which a stairgate is provided at the top. On the left is an open galleried bedroom containing 2 single beds, chests of drawers and clothes rail. On the right is the main self contained double bedroom, with a travel cot for baby. The third bedroom is downstairs (suitable for under twelves.) The bathroom is downstairs and has a shower over the bath. Bed linen is included in the rental.
Towels can be hired a £2.50 per person per week. Please bring your own tea towels. Electricity is by £1 coin metre.

Conditions
£50 deposit is required on booking with the balance to be paid six weeks before commencing holiday. If holiday is cancelled within those final six weeks- the balance having been paid, balance will only be returnable if Chalet can be rebooked at such short notice -minus the original deposit of £50 for administration purposes.
