About the home

The abundance of activities available enhance the rustic and rural character of this medieval farmstead. All ages have the choice of total relaxation or the ability to indulge in the many facilities available on site - from swimming in the indoor heated pool to playing tennis or pitch & putt.

Stancombe itself has many facilities on site to suit all ages including: indoor heated pool measuring 6 metres wide by 13 metres long, refurbished to include a sauna and changing rooms.

Tennis court. Snooker room with a full sized snooker table. Games room incorporating table tennis and pool table. Small pitch and putt. Outside play area. Most of the leisure facilities are open for use 24 hours every day.

There is a bedroom with a king-size bed and a bedroom with a single and a bunk bed. In the living room there is an additional double bed that pulls down out of the wall. There is also a cot available if pre ordered.

The West Country / Devon region

Primrose is 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the shops yet is in a very peaceful area surrounded on 2 sides by orchards and 2 sides by fields.

It is within 100 yards of one of the South Hams cycle routes and plenty of footpaths.

The Kingsbridge / Sherford area

Dartmouth and Salcombe with their annual regattas are both less than 10 miles away. You will also be within easy distance from Plymouth and the Eden Project.

Some of our favourites beaches include:- for surfers the wide open expanse of Bigbury-on-Sea, with the walk across to the Pilchard Inn on Burgh Island. The nearby Slapton Sands and Torcross have a wonderful nature reserve around the Ley. Hope Cove is wonderful for the children or maybe a walk around Bolt Tail with afternoon tea at the Port Light.

There are four nearby National Trust properties to visit or for the more energetic golf courses at Bigbury, Thurlestone or Dartmouth. And finally sailing - the nearest public slipway is at Frogmore only 2 miles away and there are sailing schools at Dartmouth and Salcombe.
