Holmfield is a lovely comfortable country house located in the pretty village of West Charleton, close to Kingsbridge. Ideally suited to families to enjoy the fantastic South Hams countryside and the many beaches along this stretch of coastline. This holiday property is a well-loved family home, very spacious and with an elegant interior decor. An adjoined house, it has parking for three cars and a lovely south-facing rear garden with rural views. The gardens are mainly laid to lawn separated by Gothic-style arches with an enclosed patio with water feature, a large level lawn and the added bonus of its own private, outdoor, 32ft long solar heated swimming pool in the garden. The living accommodation within the house is spacious, light and airy, and boasts two separate living rooms and two conservatories, one of which leads from the living room and the other leads from the kitchen. Both conservatories open out on to patio areas where there is ample seating for al fresco dining and drinks. There is also badminton, croquet, lawn bowls and a pool table.

The village of West Charleton has a pub, less than a minute's walk, which serves food. Kingsbridge, only 3 miles away has a wealth of restaurants and pubs as well as supermarkets, banks and a hospital. There are many stunning beaches along this area's stretch of coast, including Thurleston, Hope Cove, Lannacombe, Mill Bay (East Portlemouth), Mattiscombe (near Start Lighthouse), historic Slapton Sands and the lovely Blackpool Sands, all within 10 miles. A wealth of NT properties are within easy reach as well as Pennywell Farm, otters and butterflies at Buckfastleigh, Dartmoor Zoological Park, Plymouth's National Aquarium, Dartington Glass, river boat excursions, Paignton Zoo. For the more active there is horse riding, Dartmouth's Woodland Adventure Park and an excellent sailing course at South Sands, Salcombe. Shop 2 miles, pub 1/2 mile. Large beamed living room.
