10 The Downs is a spacious ground floor apartment set in 4 acres of grounds with panoramic views over Thurlestone Rock and Burgh Island. There is direct access from the grounds to the south west coastal footpath, just a few minutes walk away from Thurlestone Village and Bantham.
Thurlestone is located approximately 4 miles from Kingsbridge, an estuary market town and 7 miles from Salcombe, a thriving tourist destination.
The apartment is light and spacious with two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The large living area has two sofas, an extending dining table and fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. The apartment has its own separate access from a courtyard. Plenty of parking.

"Great apartment in beautiful location"
The aparment is located in a house at the edge of the village Thurlestone, within a large and well maintained estate, surrounded by fields. The house and the apartment itself look, in our opinion, even nicer in real life than on the photos provided here. But then again we had brilliant, sunny wheather during our stay, so our impression might be biased. The apartment is very well equipped, including a nice kitchen and basic stocks of things like salt, pepper and oil. Only keep in mind that linen and towels are not included in the price but can, if necessary, be rented for an additional cost. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two smaller, single beds. Everything was very clean and in good shape, so it shouldn't be a problem to have a good time even if the weather isn't as good as in our case.
A footpath to the coast begins right in the garden of the house, it takes about ten minutes to the sea. We walked from here until Salcombe, a walk that can be highly recommended. There are also sand beaches nearby and two pubs can be reached by foot. Note that there are several other aparments in the house as well. One should also consider that the roads in the area are very narrow and that traffic jams appear to occur frequently, so driving to other places (like Dartmoor, for example) takes longer than expected. But who needs other places if the area surrounding Thurlestone is already that nice?
If we'll ever be on holidays in Devon again, we'll definitely consider staying here for another time!
