3 Thornlea Mews, is one of a group of cottages, which are located 400 meters from the beach in the quaint fishing village of Hope Cove. The cottage has pleasant views of the surrounding valley and has communal gardens in the form of a field and courtyard area. The cottage is a two-story, two-bedroom cottage, with open plan living room and kitchen, fully renovated in 2008. There is a double sofa bed in the living room, so can sleep 4/5/6 people comfortably. Shared facilities with other cottage residents include laundry room with a deep freeze, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, ironing facilities and a vacuum cleaner for guests' use. There is also a communal built in BBQ area and children have free use of the trampoline in the field at their own risk.

The West Country / Devon region
There are 2 safe, sheltered, sandy beaches, 400m. approx. Short walks along the South Devon Costal path to more and plenty within easy driving/sailing distance. The 2 beaches (Inner and Outer Hope) are smooth stretches of sand, perfect for families. Lots of Rock Pools and crabs to catch! The beaches have a Seaside Award for water quality and cleanliness. Sail, windsurf or dive here. Dolphins and seals have been seen swimming and diving in the cove.
Kingsbridge / Hope Cove area
Kingsbridge, a market town - 5 miles. Individual shops, sports centre and indoor heated pool, bowls rink, cinema. Outdoor adventure parks, farm attractions, riding, swimming, sailing, sail-boarding, golf, tennis, cycling, National Trust properties, fishing, boat hire and trips, power-boating, etc. Salcombe, Devon's most southerly town about 4 miles. Great beaches, watersports, coastal walking, tiny side streets with varied shops. Plenty of great pubs, restaurants and lovely beaches.
How to get there
Travel By car, take A38 dual carriageway from Exeter. At Buckfastleigh turn left for Totnes A384. Just before Totnes turn right, A381 to Kingsbridge. Continue through Kingsbridge and follow the A381 towards Salcombe. Turn right onto Burleigh Lane (signposted Hope Cove - light traffic only). If you do not wish to drive, the nearest railway station is Totnes and Airport is Plymouth. Scheduled flights from Paris, Cork the Channel Islands and other UK destinations.

The following is what you are kindly asked to provide: -towels -Double bed matras cover, duvet cover; -2 single bed matras covers and 2 single bed duvet covers; -Sofabed (double) matras cover AND duvet plus duvet cover; Pillow cases for each person. Please bring your own sheets (1 double, 2 single beds and 1 double sofa bed) and towels.
They can also be made available at a rental cost of £20 for 4 people.
