This 300 hundred year old cottage has an abundance of character features, nicely furnished and well equipped including with fire place, beamed ceiling, flag stone floors and exposed stone walls, having 2 double bedrooms, plus a fold down occasional guest bed and cot, to accommodate up to 5 guests.
The cottage is located in "England's Favorite village" as nominated by Country life magazine and as one "England's best village to live in" and most fashionable place to live in the UK by The Sunday Times.
The village has three very good country pubs/restaurants all within a short walk from the cottage, the Kingham Plough was described by AA Gill the Times restaurant critic as "the gold standard for country pubs" and the Wild Rabbit as "England's poshest pubs" by the Daily Mail and pub of the year 2015 by the Michelin Guide, all highly recommended and all with lovely out door spaces to enjoy in the sunshine and cozy log fires.
The village has a beautiful village green, village post office/general store were you can get cash back and its own main line station with hourly services in to and out of London Paddington (90 mins) and Oxford (30 mins), so a car is not absolutely necessary. Being in the very hart of the Cotswolds, one of England's areas of outstanding natural beauty it is ideal for both short brakes and for holidays with easily access to the many interesting places the Cotswolds has to offer.
Near by is the renowned Dailsford organic farm, Stow on Wold with England's oldest pub and Chipping Norton with its weekly farmers market.
