3515 - Fen Hide
About the home
Fen Hide is a cosy, detached bungalow that offers enough room to sleep 4 people. All the accommodation is laid-out over one level and is tastefully decorated throughout. There is a large garden in which to enjoy a spot of summertime dining and a summerhouse in which to enjoy the long evenings. In winter months, the bungalow is served by central heating and a wood-burner-effect electric stove in the sitting room, making it a rural haven, even when the weather is a bit colder. Although there is off-road parking for up to 2 cars, the local pubs and shop are just 10 minutes away on foot.

The East Anglia / Norfolk region
Picturesque clusters of stone cottages, rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways – East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers unspoilt beaches, saltmarshes, picturesque cliffs, and quaint flint villages. The pretty, popular resorts of Blakeney & Wells form part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales, where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of common and grey seals, along with abundant birdlife.
Families can enjoy the popular tourist resort of Great Yarmouth, enjoy the thrills and spills at Pleasurewood Hills theme park, or roam the cycle paths and sculpture trail at Thetford Forest (not forgetting the‘Go Ape’ high wire adventure centre in the heart of the forest). Cromer is well known for its pier and crabs, or how about Sheringham, from where you can ride on a steam train to the delightful town of Holt, with its specialist shops and charming market place?
Equally as charming are the coastline and countryside of Suffolk. Historic sites such as Sutton Hoo and Framlington Castle sit alongside museums, high-wire adventure trails, beautiful gardens and bustling market towns, amidst lovely countryside with plentiful walking and cycle paths. The coastline of the area is popular with families, and the whole region has a very strong arts movement, with plenty of work by local artists on display and available to purchase.
The King's Lynn / Long Sutton area
The market town of Long Sutton is situated in south-east Lincolnshire, close to the borders of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. The town is full of beautiful buildings including St Mary's Church, which dates from c.1170 and boasts the highest wooden spire in the country, and also some fine examples of Georgian architecture. The busy street market is every Friday with stalls run by local traders. The butterfly and wildlife park, which was voted Lincolnshire's Family Attraction of the Year in recent years, and which features an impressive tropical house filled with hundreds of butterflies, is only a short drive away and is well worth a visit. Ideally located for exploring Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, this is a great base for a varied and enjoyable holiday.

,Very comfortable property in a quiet area, with a fully enclosed garden. Well placed for visiting local areas, and there was also a good field nearby for walking the dogs. Our hosts and the neighbours were friendly and welcoming.

,The owners, couldn't have been more helpful. They had thought of everything you would need, and it was so comfortable. We enjoyed being there very much and certainly hope to return. My favourite time was sitting in the pretty little summerhouse when we had been out for the day, and relaxing, with a glass of wine!

,Excellent cottage. Met by owners with cage, which was also brilliant.
Couldn't have found a better place to stay and the dog thoroughly enjoyed herself as well as we could let her out into the garden and know that she could not get out.
