Brand new exciting architecture offers you fun, space and comfort. Maximum 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults. Some limitations to minimum stay.
The salon is big enough for many guests, offering you a sleeper couch, dining table, and chairs....and you don't even have to make the bed! Just leave it upstairs when you start your day.
The hand-made staircase invites you up to your Queen sized latex bed, with its soft high-count cotton sheets, duvet, four pillows, and built-in reading light. And you'll find you have plenty of head room when you stand beside the bed, and you'll appreciate finding a large closet up there too.
Then there's a complete kitchen, with microwave, burner, hot water urn, pots and pans, utensils, and an under-counter fridge, with lots of counter space.
As if this were not enough, the double French doors, 8 feet high and pouring in Eastern light, swing open to offer you the comfort and coziness of your own built-in balcony of Brazilian Ipa wood, sitting right over King George!
Your dream studio in downtown Jerusalem! And of course we offer amenities like a full bathroom with stand-up shower that gushes out hot water and still leaves the new non-slip floor dry, with another closet for you as well, and four thick new towels per studio. Brand new A/C. Free Wifi.
And the location is a dream. Ben Yehuda, literally hundreds of restaurants at your feet, packed with people from all walks of life and all over the world...locals eating hummus and kubbeh across the street, visitors enjoying gourmet food of all kinds, incredible shopping. And the great excitement of the Machane Yehuda market just up the street. The Old City and the Kotel are about twenty minutes' walk down Yaffo.

This historic building does not have outside security bars on the balcony, and in addition the upstairs balcony bed is not totally enclosed, so it is not recommended for children.
The Jerusalem District
As one of the most famous and beloved cities in the world for many thousands of years, Jerusalem needs no introduction. It is the figurehead of the major world religions, it is the center of prayer to millions of people, it is the spiritual flower garden of the world, drawing close to it all who seek religious depth, meaning and spirituality in their lives like a flower drawing bees out of their deepest caves.
Jerusalem is a playground of history. In any part of this city you will find marks of England, Turkey, Rome, Constantinople, and the great epochs of Jewish life thousands of years ago. You can almost feel the heart of the world beating quietly when you rest your hand on one of Jerusalem's great stones.
And Jerusalem of today is no exception. It is a cosmopolitan hothouse, blooming with hundreds of nationalities from all the world, gathering together and buzzing like those bees that this great flower attracts...learning more and more about each other, about their own history, and about their own selves. And inviting all who would come to join them...
King George, with its long Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall, is the center of social life for the new world that Jerusalem has become in the last generation. Young and old gather here to meet, to share in the delicious home food of kubbeh and shwarma and warm soups served out of doors, to pose for pictures--right underneath your window!--to shop in the myriad offerings of the stores...and to wander down Yaffo street to the great Old City of Jerusalem, with its ancient walls, ancient history, and its very deep religious significance to all peoples.

"Great location, great facilities, great manager"
The King George Suites are a fantastic way to stay in Jerusalem. I was there for five weeks as part of my studies, and my wife came and joined me for part of the time. So I was out and about quite a lot. The suite is a self contained studio apartment. A small kitchenette, good bathroom with a great shower, double bed, living area, balcony overlooking the bustling King George Street and air conditioning that is very effective (essential in June/July in Jerusalem). There is also access to free, high speed wifi, a washing machine and tumble drier. The manager even provided the detergent. There are three other apartments in the complex with which you share the communal area, but I never had to wait to use anything. The manager, Eliana, is very helpful and provided me with extra kitchen equipment I needed and also ensured I could check in and out on sabbath. The building is secure, with combination door locks. The only slight negatives were that it is up two flights of stairs (no elevator) and the door lock on the room was a bit stiff at times. But overall excellent. The price is really good for what you get and for such a good location. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the old city and it sits on all the bus routes for getting anywhere. Mahoneh Yehudah market is 5 minutes away which is a great market with some of the best fresh produce you can find. There is also a regular supermarket 2 minutes up the road. Will definitely book and stay again.

"Lovely and cozy apartment on King George"
We lived in apartment in September 2011. We very much liked an unusual and very convenient interior. Sensation as though you are at home. The beые location. Only 10 minutes on foot to an old city. Round apartment it is a lot of cafe and supermarkets. Very careful and lovely owners. In my opinion, the best place for a married couple.

"Wonderful Studio Apartment In A Great Location"
We were so happy to decide to rent a studio apartment vs a hotel. The apartment is located in an excellent location with only a short walk to the Old City. The apartment is also a short walk to the popular Machane Yehuda market. The apartment has a nice kitchen with microwave and frig. The desk area was nice for our laptop and the sitting area and kitchen table gave us room to sit down an relax. Excellent bakery and coffee shop outside of our apartment Eliana Tantz was an excellent landlord and we enjoyed talking with her regarding Jerusalem. Her kosher cookies were fantastic.

"Better than advertised"
My wife and I are from the U.S. and stayed in the King George Suites for three weeks. As a studio apartment, it was great. Ideal for the budget minded traveler. This isn't the King David Hotel, but it was neat and clean. The location was perfect for us: away from the tourist crowd, a key street for numerous bus routes; a block from Jaffa Street; a block from Ben Yehuda Street, a great pedestrian mall which is entertaining to just walk through; only a few blocks from the main market, (a cultural experience of its own!); a 20-30 minute walk to the Old City (though I understand the light rail system down Jaffa is now working); Pinati, the best restaurant in Jerusalem (IMO) right across the street; and right above the Aroma Cafe (Israeli version of Starbucks)! One of our favorite things to do was to sit on the balcony and watch the cars and people as we ate a simple meal we prepared in the flat's kitchen. It doesn't get any better than that! Most of all, Ariyeh and Eliana, the owners, are delightful hosts and great people who take a personal interest in their guests and do whatever they can to provide a good experience in staying there.
