The Central Scotland / Strathclyde / Argyll and Bute region

Argyll
The County of Argyll is well known for its rugged hills, appreciated by climbers, rivers and lochs, for fishing or watersports, and glorious scenery, for tourers. There are lots of places of interest eg: Castles, museums, historic houses and gardens. Walkers love the area, and cyclists too, Golfers have a choice of courses and birdwatchers will be rewarded. There is a lovely decking at the seaside of the apartment . Enjoy watching the passing boats, the bird life and the sea (maybe a porpoise or two). Leave your stress behind,. Come, relax and enjoy all that beautiful Argyll has to offer.
.
Strone
Strone is a small village in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It is South facing and a quiet wee village with a pub and a Post Office/shop. Dunoon is just 8 miles away with a variety of shops to browse. The Island of Bute with the magnificent Mount Stuart,( home of Lord Bute) is just 1 hour away , by car, as is the new state of the art Marina at Portavadie. We have beaches too, Ardentinny is close and the large sandy bay at Kilbride Bay (Ostal Bay) on Loch Fyne, 25 miles away. Gardens to visit are Benmore, which is just up the road, Crarae and Ardkinglass. There are many artists who live in the area so the galleries are a joy to visit. Glasgow is just across the water an hour away on the other side, wonderful shops. Kelvingrove Art Gallery is worth a visit. So much to do, so much to see.
