"A thoroughly relaxing week with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable."
The cottage is in a lovely location with lots of attractions nearby. We loved the local fish and chips plus taking the dogs and children to the beach. Kay welcomed us and showed us around the cottage before leaving us to enjoy our holiday. The cottage was comfortably furnished with everything on hand that we needed to spend a comfortable week. A thoroughly enjoyable week!!
Thank you for taking the time to review us !! More importantly we are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and came away thoroughly relaxed! We look forward to welcoming you back , Kate

"Just what we needed"
We were 2 adults and 3 children plus one elderly family dog. We fell in love with this beautiful home. The owner and caretaker went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had all the info we needed in advance and during our stay . The cottage itself was well cared for and very clean throughout . It is furnished tastefully with high quality fittings and well equipped for most anything you could need – very comfortable and inviting. Nice touches like having the ornamental light house candle and the open fire lit on arrival were much appreciated. We didn’t have the aga on as the weather was still very warm but I imagine that it is a lovely feature for a winter booking. The bedrooms and bathroom were spotless and the bedlinen was good quality and obviously professionally laundered – big thumbs up !! High standard of attention to detail. The garden is frankly amazing – we ate outside quite a bit at the large wooden table and used the weber BBQ . The pool table too was fun in the evenings. Our girls loved the swing set and we even played rounders on the enormous lawn. Highly recommended for family fun. The house with tiles floor downstairs is suitable for pets and we appreciate their rule that pets remain downstairs. We enjoyed seeing the horses walk past the house and maybe next time we’ll spend an afternoon at the local riding school further down the lane. We enjoyed the open fire and available music selection and stayed in more than we had planned as it was so nice. The local amenities were excellent- good quality farm shops and lovely local restaurants from economy to formal, lots to do for everyone and beautiful scenery. We all had a busy year and needed a holiday. This was our first visit to Wexford and we were very impressed with Scar Bridge Cottage and will definitely return.
Thank you ! We love to hear that our guests enjoy their stay with us and you would certainly be welcome back anytime! Thank you for taking the time to post your review .

"A must, for a stay in Wexford"
This property was absolutely perfect, our children had an amazing time playing in the vast grounds, which were safe and secure. The grounds and cottage are immaculate. Its home away from home with a quaint country feel. We were made feel so welcome when greeted at the cottage when we arrived. The cottage has everything you could need. Its a great central location for many excursions. It has amazing views and we had a fabulous time and will definitely be going back. Kilmore Quay, Hook Lighthouse and the many beaches are a must see.
Thank you for taking the time to review- its marvellous to get feedback. We put a lot of care into making sure that the house is pristine for each guests' arrival and that the grounds are well maintained ,colourful and interesting reflecting a typical period country residence - and hopefully our various picnic spots inspire restful hours with good cheeses and a glass or two of prosecco! Our own children are 7 and 5 yrs so it is important for us that we know that they are safe and happy in the cottage and grounds. I have a background in interior design so its design and character are important for us and our own regular visits to Scar Bridge Cottage ensure that for own comfort it is well equipped and cosy. Hopefully our own needs match yours! We'd love to welcome you back anytime - winter too is good with the large open fire and aga taking centre stage alongside the numerous local restaurants/pubs and refreshing beach walks !Not to forget The world famous opera Festival Many thanks again for your kind comments- much appreciated
