Fleming House is a 250 year old country house set in the midst of green fields that exudes atmosphere and extraordinary warmth. The house offers the best in country house charm and on our private estate, guests will enjoy a glimpse of unspoilt rural Ireland.
Our luxurious period home offers extremely comfortable accommodation in a relaxed atmosphere away from the tourist traps. This house is an award winning Irish Country House (most recently the prestigious Cesar Award).Fleming House is located just 3km from the historic town of Kilmallock. Its location is a perfect base to explore the South West region of Ireland, famous for its stunning scenery, rugged Atlantic coastline, historic monuments, forest parks and world famous golf courses. For those interested in activity holidays, we are only 5 km from the Ballyhoura Mountains where numerous walking trails are mapped and Ireland’s largest mountain bike trails designed by world renowned Daffyd Davis are located.
For larger groups of up to 16 a neighbouring lodge is available to sleep an additional 4 guests (Fleming Lodge).

The reception rooms include a drawing room, TV room, dining room and games room. The stained glass windows allow the morning sunshine to ease one into another day over a relaxing breakfast in the dining room. Enjoy our Irish country kitchen with the warmth and comfort of the Aga cooker.
The five spacious well appointed bedrooms, all elegantly furnished, overlook parkland, against the backdrop of the Ballyhoura Mountains. All rooms are en suite with power showers, fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Rooms are individually furnished with king sized beds, dresses with embroidered linens and duck down duvets that compliment this elegant house. TV, radio, and WiFi are also provided in the bedrooms.

You will enjoy your first glimpse of the Virginia clad house as you drive down the long avenue. The view from the front of the house is one of calm, peaceful hideaway as you enjoy the pastoral landscape with the Ballyhoura Mountains in the background. The garden is the ideal location to unwind reading your book or enjoy the company of friends as you cook on the barbecue.

Fleming House is located in an idyllic country setting only two miles from the ancient market town of Kilmallock. Once the seat of the high kings of Munster, Kilmallock is now a bustling country town ideally situated within easy reach of Cork and Limerick Cities and the rugged Atlantic coastline of Counties Cork, Kerry, Clare and Limerick. A lovely medieval town of great archaeological importance, with evidence of settlements dating back to 3,000 BC, the town came to prominence in 1206 when the Normans built the castle. Buildings of this period are visible throughout the town.

Local Amenities: Mountain biking in the Ballyhoura mountains, Golfing (Adare, Head of Kinsale, Ballybunion, Lahinch), Fishing (Maigue & Blackwater), Horse riding through the Glen of Aherlow, Sailing (Cork Harbour), Cycling, Walking trails.
Places of Interest: Adare village, Blarney Castle, Bunratty Folk Park & Castle, Rock of Cashel, Waterford Crystal, Limerick Hunt Museum, Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Cahir Castle are all suggestions for day trips.
