Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Beech Cottage is one of only four holiday cottages set in a forest location at Wester Lix, nestling in Glen Ogle in The Trossachs National Park. The cottage is situated only 2 miles away from the picturesque and bustling village of Killin, which lies at the head of Loch Tay and famous for the Falls of Dochart. Killin is considered to be a gateway to the Scottish Highlands.
Beech Cottage offers accommodation for 4 people in one double and one twin bedded room, child and dog friendly, with an enclosed garden and forest walks on hand. The lounge, with its inviting log burning stove for those cooler evenings, has French doors leading to the enclosed garden where outdoor seating is provided, from which you may see deer, red squirrels, and a wide variety of birdlife.
Beech Cottage is an excellent place for exploring Scotland and has, within easy reach, many outdoor pursuit opportunities including walking, fishing (salmon, trout and coarse), cycling, golf and water sports.
It is a 1.3/4 hour drive to Edinburgh, 1.1/2 hours Glasgow, 1.1/4 hours to Oban, while Perth and Stirling are 1 hour away.
There is parking for two cars. A car is essential.
Please advise at time of booking, if you are bringing along your pet as there is a charge of £10 per pet, per week.
