About the home

We have a lot to offer in Doughlasha Hs.We have our own walks from the bb to the family farm where you can view the lakes of killarney.We have free Kennells for guest use so why not bring your dog along and save on kennell fees.There is a Mini Kitchen for Guest use.Each room is have Mini coolers,Tea Making Facilities,Iron/Board,Hair Dryer,Clock Radio,Saterlite Tv.There is a private sitting room for guest use.There is a large Barbacue available also.There is a play area for the kids and you can sit out on the patio and relax while the kids play .We have 3 kids our selves who love to play ,Georgina 11,Colin 8 and Ryan 5.We do our own Baby sitting service .If you want to go out for the night,we will drop you to your desternation at no charge and we will arrang a Taxi for comming back.

The County Kerry region

Killarney isthe most visited tourist town in ireland.ring of kerry is a must if you come to killarney on holidays it is a 200 km drive of scenery that would take your breath away.dingle is also a very popular desternation.its a hour drive from killarney.the black valley is also breath taking,its a valley where there is beautiful lakes and mountains,be prepared to be gob smacked.if you dont feel like driving to these places,tours can be arranged for as little as 25 euros pp.if you are the walking type,there is plenty of walks in killarney.the national park,muckross house and gardens,ross castle,there is miles of signed posted walks in all these locations or you can hire out a bicycle if you wish. If your a mountain climbers ,cronins yard is only 10 min drive from the bb,which is the main starting point to caurauntoohill,gap of dunloe is also a popular climbing area.golf courses and fishing are only minutes from us here.

The Killarney area

Puck fair 10th,11th,12th aug.[this festival has being taking place for the last 300 yrs and is very popular,music on the street ,stalls,fun fair etc.it takes place in killorglin town which is 15 km from us.

rose of tralee which takes place in september, is in tralee town about 30 km from us.its a week of music and dancing and of course the dome where the roses from all over the world go on stage.

nec in killarney is the main venue for all the top bands,it is in the gleneagle hotel killarney which is 15 min drive fro the bb.

“Great Family-owned B & B in Killarney!” This place was an excellent place to stay. Room was large and modern. Joan was a great host and made us at home with a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended to anybody!!
