Home description

This traditional self-contained wing of the owner's home is located in a secluded position only three miles from the pretty village of Lauragh. Offering simple, comfortable living, this property provides a multi-fuel stove in the sitting room and spectacular views across Kenmare Bay. The other accommodation is composed of a kitchen with dining area and a spacious double bedroom, though a cot is available on request for those travelling with young children. Outside guests can enjoy the pleasant patio area, and gardens leading down to the shoreline. Close by are the towns of Kenmare and Killarney, both offering numerous activities and amenities.

The County Kerry region

County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, Kerry features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas, with plenty of opportunities for sailing, fishing and boating tours. Killarney / Lauragh area

Set at the foot of the Healy Pass, the picturesque village of Lauragh is located in the heart of the spectacular Caha Mountains and is only 14 miles from the city of Kenmare. With a small church, a village store and a pub, this little settlement provides all the basic amenities needed for a holiday. Known as the Tidiest Town in Kerry, Kenmare boasts some of the most breathtaking, unspoiled scenery in Europe whilst its winding streets present a wide choice of gourmet restaurants, boutique shops and art galleries. Visitors can enjoy a day trip to the fabulous town of Killarney, known for its festivals and National Park or alternatively discover the internationally recognised Ring of Kerry pathway and the rugged Ring of Beara.
