Home description

This modern wing of the owner’s house is situated in a quiet location amidst open countryside. The property is just four miles from the village of Ballingarry in County Tipperary and is reached via winding lanes. Offering quality, well-equipped accommodation, the cottage comes with two en-suite bedrooms and is able to sleep a total of four people. Guests are permitted to use the onsite tennis court, and are within easy reach of many of the region’s excellent amenities and activities.

Kilkenny / Ballingarry area

Situated in the foothills of Slievenamon Mountain, the picturesque village of Ballingarry is set in the south of County Tipperary and consists of a main street with a church, post office, two pubs and handful of shops. The town of Callan is nearby and offers a wider variety of amenities whilst the lively city of Kilkenny is also within easy reach. This vibrant town is a centre for arts, crafts and design as well as boasting good shopping and a colourful nightlife with many pubs, bars and restaurants. Kilkenny also hosts several annual festivals, including the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in June, the Kilkenny Rhythm 'n Roots in May and the Kilkenny Celtic Festival in September and October. Visitors can enjoy the impressive, 12th Century Kilkenny Castle, Dunmore Cave - which consists of a series of interconnected chambers - or the St. Francis Abbey Brewery, the oldest in Ireland!

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
