About the home

Kilifi Maghreb are fully furnished three and one bedroom coastal homes with modern amenities, tucked in a tropical garden, 2minutes walk from the semi-private beach, perfect ambience for alfresco dining, swimming, reading a book or just sleeping to enjoy the warm weather that is present all year round. Perfect for getting away, enjoying coastal home- made food and just relaxing. Our staff – cook, clean and wash up at no extra charge. You can choose to pay for all meals or you can buy your food we prepare it for you. We provide bicycles for guests who wish to explore Kilifi town which is 10 minutes away and has local amenities such as restaurants, banks, pubs and markets .

Maghreb is centrally located for one to explore all that the Kenyan coast has to offer –golf courses, ancient ruins, mangrove forests, beaches, fine hotels and dining experiences, boating/ yachting. Being just a 45 minutes drive to either Malindi or Mombasa.

• 50% of rental fee due six weeks (42days) before your stay to secure booking, balance on or before arrival, except in high season where full payments must be made prior to arrival. (High Season is from 1-Jul to 31-Oct and 15-Dec to 15-Apr )
• Smoking only allowed in the garden
• Cancellation charges apply -
1. Up to 35 days before arrival - 80% refund, 20% cancellation charge
2. 35 days to 15 days before arrival - 50% refund, 50% cancellation charge
3. 14 days to 7 days before arrival - 25% refund, 75% cancellation charge
4. Less than 7 days before arrival - nil refund, 100% cancellation charge

The Kenyan Coast region

Kilifi is a town on the Kenyan coast, which sits on both sides of an estuary and linked by a bridge. It lies on the majestic Kilifi Creek between Malindi and Mombasa.

The town is known for its pristine bofa beach, the ruins of Mnarani, and the dhow races.

Kilifi enjoys warm weather throughout the year and has two moderate rainfall seasons around April and October.even during the long rains it seldom rains continuously for days on end.

The landscape is dotted with trees such as Cocos lucifera, Anacadium occidentale, Azadirachta indica, Mangifera indica and is home to several birds such as crows, kites and hawks.

Flying to Kilifi
• Fly to Vipingo airstrip which is a 20 minutes drive from Kilifi Maghreb. Cheap flights are available from http://www.fly540.com
• Fly to Mombasa or Malindi which are midway to Kilifi (45 minutes drive). Flights available from http://www.kenya-airways.com for international arrivals or http://www.jetlink.co.ke/

Driving to Kilifi
• Kilifi is an 8 hour drive on a the Highway from Nairobi passing through scenic country.
• Kilifi is 45 minutes drive from either Mombasa or Malindi . From the latter, the road passes through the Arabuko Sokoke forest entrance. Local buses run daily from all locations and fares in locak currency do not exceed Kshs. 1,500 (Currency converter http://www.xe.com/)
