Villa | 8 bedrooms | sleeps 14
This beautiful house is designed in the Swahili style and sleeps up to 14 guests around an arched courtyard. Walk through the wild indigenous garden with its exceptional birdlife, past the 30 m infinity pool and down the coral cliff path to deserted white sandy beaches and the warm Indian Ocean. Dine by moonlight in the serenity of the courtyard, or on the star terrace under the vast African night sky.
Fully staffed with a highly trained team, including a cook and sous chef. Specialities of the house include fish and shellfish from local fishermen.
This is paradise for anyone wanting a holiday by the sea. The house is in a remote location, and not in a tourist area. However it is within an easy drive of Malindii, Watamu and Kilifi.

The Kenyan Coast region
This is the coastal region of Kenya, and has the benefit of the warm Indian Ocean and lovely deserted sandy beaches. The sea has bigger waves at high tide, which offers the opportunity to body board, and what my family love, just jumping over the waves! At low tide the sea is very calm, and there are lots of rock pools to examine and endless paddling.
Further inland villages abound with coconut palms, mango, pawpaw and banana trees.
The towns of Kilifi, Malindi and Watamu are an easy drive from the house. There are plenty of places to eat, and shops selling many curios and souvenirs.
A flight away is the town of Lamu, which is a must visit town. It is also possible to drive to Tsavo East for a game viewing trip. And a short flight from Malindi airport gives you access to many more game reserves further away.
The climate is wonderfully hot, but the house is designed around a courtyard, to make the most of the cool sea breeze. The warm African nights are unforgettable, endless stars to dine under and views from the roof terrace in all directions.
Places of interest include the Arabuko Sukoke Forest, Marine Parks in Malindi and Watamu, water sports in Kilifi and Watamu, and Gedi Ruins.
