Staying for a spell with us at Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges is more than just a break away from your routine, it is a journey of discovery to the Soul of Ireland. Whether you are looking for an escape, a relaxing break, to rekindle the romance or for some exciting adventure activities – we have it all on the doorstep here in Ballyorgan. Each lodge has three bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double bed and is en-suite and the two other bedrooms have twin beds and share the main bathroom. The living area and kitchen/dining area are all open plan separated from the bedrooms by a hallway.

Linen and towels are provided and the beds are made prior to your arrival. We can have the heating on prior to your arrival if you like, just let us know. We have lovely stoves in each house and we encourage people to collect the kippings and sticks in the forest to burn in the fire (bring some dry stuff in case of bad weather).

In each lodge we have a flat screen tv, a dvd player, a radio cd player, oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, knives and forks, wine openers, bottle openers and every thing else we could think of to make your stay easier. Sometimes people like to bring their own with them so If you have a favourite pot or kitchen knife, then pack it into the car and bring it along and use away, another small benefit of self catering

"Unique stay in one of Ireland's most scenic locations!"

Driving into the site where the homes are situated really took my breath away! The houses are in the most idyllic, tranquil location, in the woodland in Ballyorgan. After arriving we were greeted by Ita who was so helpful throughout our stay and generous with her time and her local knowledge, she even stopped by with a newspaper article later on with information about a place of interest to us and cakes! The houses were picturesque cabins and were exceptionally snug and homely, all furniture and fittings were a very high standard and the house was extremely well equipped. It was so lovely to sit inside on a cold evening with a roaring fire! The outdoor facilities on site for children were amazing and completed to an exceptional standard. During our stay we tried some of the local walks and also went to the bog in Ballylanders which was very interesting and serene. The people in the area of Ballyorgan and Kilfinane were so friendly and helpful also. The area where the houses are is very central in Ireland and ideal for a base for sight seeing around Ireland, I will definitely be returning, thank you Ita for all your time and help!

Thanks for the review Fiona, glad to see you enjoyed your stay.
