The County Galway/County Clare region

Kilfenora is a small charming village on the southwest edge of the Burren region and is well known as a visitor gateway to the area. The interpretative centre in the village unfolds the mysteries and delights of the area in an entertaining and informative way. The remains of a 12th century cathedral and high crosses can be found in the village. To many people the name Kilfenora is also synonymous with its famous Céili Band. Fuchsia Cottage is the ancestral home of the Lynch family who were instrumental in establishing the Kilfenora Céili Band early in the last century. Your host has also been a member of the band.
