Home description
As one of two barn conversions, this outstanding semi-detached property is an excellent place for a family holiday. There is a snug living room with a cosy wood-burning stove as well as a well-equipped fitted kitchen. The property has maintained much of its period charm with stone walls and oak woodwork both features of the interior, whilst outside the property visitors have shared use of a pretty garden with free roaming rabbits and a pond with black swans. Guests who enjoy angling also have use of a one-mile stretch of the River Gwendreath. The local area offers numerous shops and pubs as well as a blue flag beach, making this an ideally placed home-from-home for a family or a group of friends.

The West Wales / Pembrokeshire / Carmarthenshire region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway. Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat. In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe. You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast. To the south, there’s the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven of rugged moorland, forests and mountains that’s just perfect for nature lovers and walkers. Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is renowned for its wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and as the home of Britain’s smallest city, the City of St David’s.
Kidwelly area
Situated at the centre of West Wales amidst a superb mix of rolling countryside, the ancient coastal town of Kidwelly is beautifully set between glistening seashores and tranquil woodland. Set above the winding River Gwendreath in a commanding ridge-side position, the nearby Kidwelly Castle is a great place to visit, as is the fascinating Heritage Museum. The Pembrey Country Park also provides visitors with a range of outdoor activities including horse riding and an exhilarating dry-ski slope. The Cefn Sidan Beach offers an ideal spot for a family trip to the seaside whilst the Celtic Trail Cycleway leads through the wonderful inland scenery. There is also the fascinating Wildfowl and Wetlands Park, the scenic Brecon Beacons and the vibrant town of Llanelli to visit, making this a wonderfully varied location.
