There is a twin room which can be offered as a super king-size double by prior arrangement, and a double room. There is a shower room, and an additional ground floor cloakroom. The living area is open plan, with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a garden area with BBQ. From Chestnut Cottage it is easy to enjoy the Dales, including excellent walking and quaint villages.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Bike storage available. Spacious garden area with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Shop and pubs 2 mins walk. Note: River runs at the bottom of the garden and is not fenced off – children to be supervised at all times.

The Kettlewell area
Near the head of Upper Wharfedale is the idyllic village of Kettlewell. Nestled at the foot of Great Whernside, this charming little town makes the perfect place from which to explore the wonderful scenery and pretty villages of this magnificent Dale. Much of the stunning countryside in the area belongs to the National Trust and offers a lovely patchwork of dry-stone walls and barns, important flower-rich hay meadows and valley side woodland. The renowned Dales Way passes close by and helps to make this amongst the best areas for walking in the country. Kettlewell itself is located on the banks of the River Wharfe and is composed of traditionally built stone cottages, two excellent pubs, a post office, speciality shops and a hotel. The town was also the location of the hit film, ‘Calendar Girls’, which used a variety of picturesque spots from around the region.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
