Walkers and climbers are spoiled for choice. From the high summits to forest trails and lakeside paths, there are walking routes suitable for all.

Within such a compact area as the North Lakes it is very easy to explore the neighbouring valleys and secluded places. To the east, for example, you can enjoy the lakeside paths beside Thirlmere. To the west you can explore the delights of Whinlatter mountain forest.

"Bigger than you think, quiet, close to town."

"If you are looking for a place to relax and chill out this is not for you"

I can't fault the accommodation it was very nice, everything you needed, and very close to Keswick town centre. The problem for me, was I booked a holiday to get away from my noisy neighbours, only to find it was like been at home just a little worse, with constant banging doors. I even cut my 7 night stay and left after 5 night. I felt more stressed out than I did before I stayed. I don't like righting reviews but it,s only fair to let people know what to expect.

Having lived in and traded from this detached house for 24 years we have never heard any sounds whatsoever from our neighbors and it is a very quiet area. We are mystified by this review but have been unable to obtain clarification from the guest and can only suggest that you consult our other reviews and come to hear for yourself how quiet the location is!

"Home from home"

Myself and friends return to Broomhill year after year to enjoy what we consider to be one of the most comfortable and homely holiday flats we have ever stayed in. The flat is large and spacious and the single beds provide flexible accommodation for the party. It is always very clean and provides everything we have ever required. The location is fantastic and we would recommend the flat for anyone looking for accommodation in Keswick. A well cared for flat which is a pleasure to return to after a day of walking in the beautiful country surrounding Keswick.
