"Beautiful spacious accommodation, lovely area - fantastic holiday"

The Old Chapel has been refurbished to a really high standard, and is a unique and beautiful place to stay. Arriving in the dark on a cold and wet night, it was so welcoming to have the woodburner blazing when we arrived. We used this loads and it warmed the place beautifully - there was ample fuel provided too. Although there were no photos of the kitchen on the website, it was really well equipped, spacious and was, like the rest of the accommodation, very clean when we got there. The fresh home-grown fruit and veg were a welcome touch as well - and were thoroughly enjoyed!

Ireby is a fantastic location that is convenient for both the Lakes and the North and West Cumbrian Coast. There are some beautiful walks across countryside from the village itself - having large scale maps provided in the Old Chapel was great, as it enabled us to explore the local area on foot whilst leaving our less-energetic teenagers watching tv in front of the fire! There was also a good selection of leaflets for attractions a bit further afield too.

We didn't regret booking our week at the Old Chapel one little bit and it was over far too soon!

"One of the best cottages we have stayed in."

The Old Chapel is a lovely spacious and comfortable cottage which is very well equipped.. We loved our week and look forward to returning. The owners are very friendly and close to hand if needed. We were encouraged to sample the produce in the garden and there was a bunch of rhubarb ready picked for us one day on our return. We would recommend the Snooty Fox at Uldale as we had two very nice evening meals there and the Landlady was very welcoming.

Thank you for your review. Look forward to seeing you back in Ireby.
