Recently renovated and comprising of three luxury apartments Carlton House provides excellent accommodation for either a family or indeed three families looking to holiday together in separate living quarters. Apartment three is situated on the second floor and has a superb 40 inch flat screen TV with home cinema system to the lounge, modern appliances in the kitchen and Wi-Fi connection throughout. Both the king size and twin room have Ipod docking stations and outside there's a garage parking for one car with further on street parking available nearby. The apartment can be booked with number one and number two to accommodate up to twelve guests

The Cumbria/Lake District region

The Lake District conjures up images of magnificent mountains and shimmering lakes and that is exactly what visitors find here. In fact the whole county of Cumbria is home to some of Britain's most beautiful scenery. This region has been a favourite all year round holiday destination for years and apart from its natural beauty it's also packed with lots of attractions and activities that cater for every kind of holidaymaker, from family holidays to romantic breaks for couples and from those who are looking for lots of activities and sports to those that prefer more gentle country pursuits. The Lake District National Park lies at the heart of Cumbria and contains well known and much loved holiday destinations such as Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Coniston and Grasmere, here there are lots of charming Lakeland villages to discover and visitor attractions for all the family. The northern and western lakes have miles of untouched natural rugged beauty and rural villages as well as being home to the historic northern lakes town of Keswick with its many shops, pubs and restaurants; providing a great holiday base. Other areas to discover include the Eden Valley, Cartmel peninsula, south east Cumbria and the Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall area; all equally beautiful and very handy for day trips into the lakes.

The Keswick area

Carlton House is just a short level walk from Keswick with all its many amenities and attractions. The town is overlooked by the spectacular Skiddaw and Lonscale Fells and the shores Derwentwater are just a short stroll from the centre. Keswick is the perfect holiday destination with a great selection of unique shops and restaurants as well as Fitz park, a large park great for children to play in and from which to enjoy the views of the surrounding fells. From Keswick you can access some great walks including the fells of Skiddaw, Catbells and Latrigg. Or if you prefer a more level walk visit Derwentwater or Bassenthwaite Lake, both within a few miles of Keswick
