The Kesh area
On your trip to the Fermanagh Lakelands you can enjoy many varied activities, taking in the wonderful scenery and great outdoors along the way.
Hire a boat for the day and explore some of Fermanagh’s many islands, including White Island and Devenish Island where you can view a 12th century round tower, and intricate designs on the carvings.
Enjoy some fishing on Upper or Lower Lough Erne, or indulge in a variety of water sports including waterskiing or canoeing.
For the historian in you, Fermanagh also has numerous castles for you to visit including Enniskillen Castle, situated right in the heart of Enniskillen town, Florence Court, Tully Castle, Crom Castle and Castle Archdale.
The Marble Arch Caves found approximately 11 miles outside Enniskillen offers visitors the chance to go on an underground boat journey and witness the spectacular naturally occurring cave formations.
Other must see visits include the luxurious Lough Erne Golf Resort, situated on the banks of Lough Erne with spectacular views and also Belle Isle cookery school, where you can spend a day learning how to cook and sampling your produce at the end of your lesson.
** The attractive little village of Kesh is located some 3 miles to the south east. It offers services such as food shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, a petrol station, bank, post-office and an off licence. Excellent dinging is also available close by at the restaurant on Lusty beg island, which can be reached by a short car ferry ride.
Fishing - Course on site. Walking - Easy ¼ miles. Horse riding 5 miles. Golf 7 miles. Theatre, Swimming Pool, Cinema 15 miles.
