About this group of co-located holiday homes

Lustruyen is set in one and a half acres in a very quiet rural area but within five minutes of the market town of Rostrenen. The largest lake in Brittany, Lac Guerledan and the Nantes/Brest canal are only 20 minutes away and offer many water sports including canoeing, kayaking, wind surfing and water skiing as well as small sandy beaches, restaurants, and boat trips along the lake in July and August.

There are tennis courts in Rostrenen and fishing in the small rivers and lakes nearby. The roads and lanes around this area are quiet and flat and ideal for bike riding with lots of designated randonees (footpaths) criss crossing the countryside. The two properties on this site, the cottage (sleeps 4/6) and the farmhouse (sleeps9) are ideal for larger family groups (max 15) plus cots who prefer to rent both and have the pool/place to themselves.

Here on site you can enjoy swimming in our 10x5 metre heated, fenced, swimming pool with shallow end and roman steps. The pool is sheltered and well positioned to remain in full sun all day with tables, chairs, parasols and sun loungers to relax on. The pool is normally open from the end of May to the end of September. Also in the grounds are a boules court, table tennis,football nets,swingball, quoits, children’s swing and slide and badminton. There is a playhouse and climbing toy for the young ones.We also have a grassed area that we keep cut for ball games (football, cricket and rounders) so that children kids play safely within sight but without disturbing the adults. There is plenty of room within the grounds to park cars safely. The farmhouse and cottage are detached from each other across a gravelled court yard

There is a communal room that the two properties have a key to housing the washing machine, freezer, ironing boards, irons, hoovers and video library.

Nearby Rostrenen is a small town offering all facilities (4 supermarkets, Doctors, garage, tennis courts, bank and restaurants etc) and a weekly small general market on Tuesday mornings.

Each house will have a welcome pack of tea, fresh coffee,filters, milk, local biscuts etc and a basic supply
of toilet rolls, soap, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, pegs, dishcloths, rubbish sacks, cling film, aluminum foil, kitchen & bathroom cleaners.

Conditions for this group of co-located holiday homes

A deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking either by International bank transfer, a sterling / Euro cheque or payment in Euros by credit card (Paypal 3.4% surcharge applies)with the balance payable 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. A separate cheque for £100 or 150€ is required per property per week as a refundable security deposit. We recommend that you take out travel insurance with a cancellation clause.

Lustruyen is ideally located in this beautiful area of Central Brittany.It is only 40 minutes from Saint Brieuc the capital of the region on the North coast and an hour for the beautiful beaches at Plenéuf Val André, Pordic & Binic .The South coast is an hour and a quarter .

The Kergrist Moelou / Lustruyen area

Lustruyen is only 15 minutes drive from the largest man made lake in Europe, Lac Guerlédan which offers many watersports including sailing, canoe: kayak, water skiing, pedaloes, swimming, fishing,boat trips etc,as well as beaches and restaurants.

For 4 or 5 evenings every year in early Augustthe Abbey Bon Repos on the banks of the Nantes / Brest canal has its spectacle "son et lumiere".A fantastic night out,once seen never forgotten.
