The County Kerry region

County Kerry, traditionally known as the 'kingdom', is situated in the extreme south-west of Ireland. Kerry has two contrasting types of terrain - the mountainous south with the Beara, Iveragh and Dingle peninsulas, and the smaller 'plains' area that stretches as far north as the Shannon estuary. Along the coast, sandy bays alternate with cliffs and rocky headlands. The famous Ring of Kerry has breathtaking scenery and is a haven for activity based holidays. Kilarney National Park has a distinctive combination of mountains, lakes, woods and waterfalls under ever changing skies gives the area a special scenic beauty.

There are so many things to see, to do, to explore, to experience in the surrounding area. . . from almost 2,000 archaeological sites, to more walking than you could fit into a year.

Wheather you enjoy sailing, angling, golf etc there is a wide range of activities for you to try and wherever you go you can be sure of a very warm welcome.

Kenmare

Rossmore Island lies between the picturesque town of Kenmare with its colourful houses, shops & restaurants serving gourmet food and the very pretty village of Sneem.

Kenmare is a haven of tranquillity, and breathtaking scenery in one of the most natural, unspoilt environments in Europe. Cradled in the heart of Kenmare Bay, the picturesque town of Kenmare is the perfect location from which to discover the South West of Ireland, linking the internationally famous Ring of Kerry with the rugged Ring of Beara.

The Ring of Kerry is famous for its spectacular and dramatic scenery with wonderful beaches, or if you are feeling fit you can cycle or walk the Kerry Way.

There is a sailing school in Kenmare and other leisure facilities include archery, horse riding, cycling, canoeing, sea or lake fishing, boating and golf are all available nearby.

"This is what heaven is like!"

This is not a 4 star, this is a 100 star. I never wanted to leave. I just wanted to stay in the
family room and watch the water and the tall grasses blowing in the wind.
Everything inside was top quality.
Very beautiful!

All we can say is WOW! What an outstanding property. The view is fantastic and the peace & quiet unbelievable. As one of us is a chef, we couldn't resist using the well stocked kitchen.
