Home description
These award winning cottages were part of an original 18th century farm house and look out into the courtyard. They are situated on an 80 acre dairy farm and is surrounded by mature gardens. There is a children's play area on site with a basketball hoop for young and old. After a fulfilling day sightseeing in the area, relax in front of an open log fire, sip a glass of wine, or take a relaxing jacuzzi bath.

The County Kerry region
Kenmare is a picturesque town with the Atlantic Ocean at it's feet and is known locally as Neidin which means "Little Nest". Killarney is to the north, a short drive to Muckross house and the Lakes of Killarney and the Beara Peninsula is to the south. It has much to offer with its many award winning restaurants and fine pubs.
Kenmare / Kilgarvan area
Kenmare is on the Ring of Kerry, with many places to explore. For walkers, there is the Kerry Way and the Beara Way. If golf is your sport, Kenmare boasts two excellent 18-hole courses and courses in Killarney and Glengarriff mean you will never be short of a game. There are also excellent water sport facilities and horse riding nearby. We are happy to give you help and advice on what to visit in the area. Kilgarvan, a rural village where you meet the real locals, is home to Ardtully Castle and has excellent walking trails. Fishing is available nearby.
How to get there
Kenmare is easily accessible by road, rail or air. Fly to Cork, Shannon or Kerry airports and then by hire car – all the major companies hire from all Ireland's main airports. Alternatively with own car via the ferry ports at Rosslare and Dublin. There is a main line train station in Killarney and a good nation-wide bus service in operation. Buses run into Kenmare daily, monday to friday only.

Further details indoors: Downstairs is largely open-plan and features a fitted kitchen/diner and spacious sitting room with open log fire and sumptuous leather furniture. There is one bedroom downstairs and two more upstairs, all of which are en-suite. Bathrooms feature deluxe power showers and one also has a jacuzzi bath. The cottage is newly renovated throughout and great care has been taken to ensure that it is tastefully finished and decorated to a high standard by local craftsmen, with a rough interior and exterior finish. A stay at our farm cottage is a must as you will be assured of a warm welcome.
Further details outdoors: Outside the cottage, guests can appreciate the farm atmosphere with views over rolling countryside. For children there is a sturdy wooden climbing frame and there is a basketball play area for both young and old. Two pieces of ancient Irish bog oak can be found in the garden. One of which has been christened "the friendly crocodile". There is a private patio area at the back of the cottage, accessed from the house through French doors, which has sturdy wooden garden furniture.
