Stunning scenery abounds, apart from that on your doorstep, a short drive in any direction will bring you the delights of the Ring of Kerry, Ring of Beara and the Killarney Lakes and National Park. If sailing,
golfing or horseriding is your thing, facilities are within a 10 minute drive of the house.

As you enter Hazelwood House you are greeted by a large airy entrance hall with granite floors. Off this spacious room you will find a fully fitted modern kitchen with range cooker and extensive cooking and dining facilities. There is also a utility room with washer and dryer. Relax in the large family room with its warming wood burning stove, or enjoy the stunning views from the formal sitting and dining room with feature fireplace and access to garden and decks. Both these rooms have solid timber floors and satellite TV. There is a DVD player and stereo. There is also a large double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor, and a cloakroom with WC and basin.
Up the carpeted feature staircase to the first floor and here you will find two large bedrooms and a luxury family bathroom. The master bedroom has a super kingsize (6’) bed, and plenty of storage. The window offers views of Kenmare River. The second bedroom has two double (4’6”) beds and is spacious and luxurious. There are soft carpets in both rooms. The large family bathroom, which is tiled throughout has a tub, separate shower, WC and two hand basins.

Outside space at Hazelwood House is extensive, with the gardens extending to around half an acre. In addition to the two raised decks at the rear of the property there is also a large lawned area with mature trees and shrubs giving total privacy. The proximity of the Gulf Stream allows for exotic planting which gives the garden colour whatever the season. Views of Kenmare River can be appreciated from all aspects of the garden.

Kenmare is a beautiful heritage town in the south west of Ireland. Kerry is famous for the scenic drive known as the Ring of Kerry and Kenmare is ideally situated to explore this special area as it nestles in the mountains with the Iveragh and Beara Peninsulason either side of it. Kenmare is also within easy driving distance of the Killarney National Park with its lakes and mountains. The town itself is full of life and has some of Ireland's best restaurants and shops.
The Kenmare / Mucksna area
You will never be short of things to do when on holiday in this area. Walkers can set off in any direction from the house with access to the Kerry Way and the Beara Way nearby as well as many excellent shorter loop walks. There are two 18-hole golf courses in Kenmare and several others within easy driving distance.
There is a sailing school with a 10 minute drive where you can enjoy a range of leisure facilities include archery, horse riding, cycling, canoeing, sea or lake fishing. For a different way to explore the area, the Seafari from Kenmare pier provides for an entertaining and informative eco tour of the Kenmare Bay.
For the ladies, the Park Hotel in Kenmare has one of the top spas in Ireland.

Fly into Kerry airport which has regular flights to London Stansted and other popular European destinations and is only a 50 minute drive from the property. Cork International airport is a 90 minute drive. There are ferry terminals at Cork, Rosslare, Dun Laoighre and Dublin.
A car is essential and most of the major companies operate in the area.
