It's location allows you to take beautiful walks right on your doorstep, but also has the convenience of only being 6 miles from Kendal, and many other attractions are within a 30 minute drive, including the towns of Windermere and Ambleside. The Lake District
Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Gardens are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morcambe Bay. Kendal itself is ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, The Yorkshire Dales and beyond.
With other attractions such as Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland life, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park within easy reach, Kendal Provides a superb base for a relaxing break.
Location Kendal - Windermere 8 miles. A historic Lakeland town with a fine reputation for shopping. Kendal nestles on the banks of the River Kent and is known as a Southern Gateway to the Lakes.
It's old cobbled lanes and highways branch off the attractive main street and the stone ruins of the 12th Century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town.

The Barn is superbly fitted out. There is simply everything you might need available.
Beautifully decorated, clean and light with great views across the valley. Close proximity to Kendal and the nearby Lakes.
