Myself and my friends had an excellent time at Glebe House. The house itself is a wonderful building full of character and with all the facilities and equipment you could wish for. The surrounding gardens are large and well-maintained and provide a great place to relax when the weather's good. The setting in Hownam is both peaceful and picturesque with many interesting walking trails accessible around the village. It should be noted that the location is relatively isolated, but if you're looking for a getaway from city life it's great. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it. |

Fantastic house, So welcoming and home from home. Ideal location for some rest and relaxing with everything not that far away when you fancy a trip out. Ideally for a day trip to Edinburgh which we did and loved every moment of it. Perfect for our three collie dogs to explore. Could not fault a thing, would go back tomorrow if I could. 5 stars for everything. |

Glebe House for our extended family holiday was a perfect place to rest, recharge, read, play badmington on the lawn, fish in the stream(we put everything back which amounted to 1 eel!) and walk. The garden was big enough and enclosed enough for the children and teenagers to run off and amuse themselves without danger, the stream being a special attraction. Walks were plentiful and locak trips proved very popular with the older generation who were not so able to walk: Lindisfarne, Hawick, Jedburgh and local family history jaunts to local graveyeards. We even met some Moaris at the graveyard in Hownam doing the same! When tired a coffe in the sun or evening watching the lverets feed from their mother was the highlight of the day. Truly an enjoyable holiday, Thank you |

What did we like least? Answer "--Leaving! -- We will be back"
Please book us - same time next year!
just wanted to say again how much we all enjoyed our stay at Glebe House. The facilities were great and you seemed to have thought of everything that someone may need on their stay there. Really liked the little notes round the house to help us out.
We will definitely be back as I didn't have nearly enough time to look at all your books!
Shot a full range of birds and loved returning to the log fires and homely feeling of the house. Best ever week for our all male group.
The perfect holiday, we spent 2 weeks in summer as a family with 3 teenagers, and still didn't manage to see and do everything we wanted.
A wonderful house for Christmas! Loved all the books.
Mixed weather did not matter, the walking was splendid, vast spaces and so empty of people on the hills. Our group will be back. So relaxing! Gorgeous gardens. Lawns for games.
