Home description
At the end of 500 metres of unmade farm track, up a steep driveway, set against the striking craggy backdrop of Mount Ainos, Limanaki was originally intended to serve as a secluded, cosy guest suite to the main house of us, its owners. We are pleased to say ,that we have decided to offer this “little gem” as a private one bedroom “honeymoon hideaway”. Carefully screened from the main house, Limanaki is an oasis of peace and tranquillity with its own sparkling, albeit unusually shaped swimming pool. A few steps lead up to the front door and intimate pool terrace with appealing views across the pool to the sunny, deep blue waters of the Ionian sea. The only occasional sound to interrupt the peace and tranquillity is that of crickets chirping nearby.
The house is all on one level, with the lounge, dining and kitchenette area leading out through wide patio doors onto the pool terrace, making “al-fresco” dining an easy pleasure. Adjacent to this is a comfortable, bright, double bedroom, again with patio doors out to the terrace and designed is such a way, that the great sea views can be enjoyed without even getting out of bed! A charming honeymoon cottage best describes this wonderful villa, which provides an ideal, romantic holiday retreat “just for two”.

The Ionian Islands region
There is plenty to see on this beautiful island, or if you prefer to relax in this tranquil setting, you have found the perfect location!
Argostoli is the capital of Kefalonia. Plateia Valianou is the central square which has a lively, blissful atmosphere with fresh fish and fruit markets, beautiful promenades, stylish boutiques and cafes. This island will guarantee a great day out!
Fiskardo is one of the most sought after spots on Kefalonia. It is unique in that it was left virtually undamaged during the great earthquake of 1953, that ruined most of the historic buildings on Kefalonia. The pretty harbour has retained a truly authentic Greek atmosphere. The traditional fishing and beautiful marina with luxurious boats and yachts, with local cafes and shops there is plenty to see on this beautiful island.
Melissani Lake is the most spectacular cave lake on the island. Its striking clear waters and cave walls are a definite must see. There are little boats which take you into the lake for you to see this remarkable attraction - oh, and don’t forget your camera !
Kefalonia area
The Trapezaki area enjoys open panoramic views over the Ionian Sea towards the island of Zante. Set on the lower slopes of Mount Ainos, just bordering on Lourdas, its better known neighbour, this mainly residential area has a charm all of its own. With a choice of three great beaches, Lourdas, Kanali and Trapezaki, all within a few kilometres; with many tavernas offering different styles of service and mouth-watering Greek cuisine - some, such as in Lourdas and Trapezaki being right on the beach and with a number of small shops and supermarkets nearby, the area is growing fast in popularity.
