About the home

This beautiful 4 bedroom villa is ideally located 350m from the Livadi bay beach, there are also many other beaches only a short drive away. The bedroom layout is, a twin room on the ground floor, a twin room and two double rooms on the upper floor. The crystal clear pool looks over the Lixouri/Argostoli bay with fantastic panoramic sea views and on to the mountains beyond. A covered veranda offers great shade from the heat of the day and is ideal for early outdoor dining. There are four bedrooms and three en suite bathrooms , one with a bath and shower and the others have walk-in showers, plus a ground floor W.C..The villa also offer Wifi internet connection. The large kitchen is partitioned off from the lounge and there is also a utility room with a fridge freezer and washing machine. The kitchen is fully fitted with a ligh level oven and ceramic hob. The villa is designed in such a way with many large patio doors , as to give a bright airy feeling to the whole place. There are two large veranda areas leading out to the private walled patio/garden and pool. The Lotos taverna is 2 minutes walk away, for those evenings when you don't feel like cooking. The town of Lixouri the second largest on the island is less than 10 minutes drive away and you can find a huge selection of tavernas and restaurants to everyones taste. Within the town you can also find many shops, banks, etc. In the garden area there is a swing set and trampooline, for children or those who may feel energetic. There is also a large barbeque ideal for outdoor dining.

Entrance to the villa is accepted after 2 pm and departure must be by 10.30 am unless otherwise arranged.

Conditions

Only 15% deposit secures the booking.

Balance payable: 35% 2 months before arrival and the final 50% 1 month before arrival.

CREDIT CARDS payment accepted via secure Barclaycard secure payment system or bank transfer.

The Ionian Islands region

Kefalonia lies in the sparkling blue Ionian Sea to the West of mainland Greece.

It is the largest of the Ionian islands, yet has managed to avoid the tourist commercialisation of neighbouring Corfu or nearby Zakynthos. The mystical island of Ithica lies off the North-East coast of Kefalonia.

Kefalonia is a mixture of unspoilt beaches. majestic mountains, fertile green valleys, forests and olive groves. Mount Ainos, in the south of the island, is higher than Britain’s Ben Nevis, and affords wonderful views of the island’s many villages and beaches. The whole island abounds in wild flora and fauna—early Spring sees Kefalonia ablaze with the colours of millions of wild flowers.

Kefalonian people are wonderfully sociable and can be extremely generous. They are very family-orientated and love children.

Kefalonia has two main towns:-
Argostoli, the capital, has a full range of shops and services including the island’s main hospital.
Lixouri, on the Paliki Peninsula, has more traditional shopping and all one would expect from a small town.
There is a frequent ferry service (20 minutes crossing) between Argostoli and Lixouri.

The Kefalonia area

The renowned beach at Xi offers all you will need in watersports and entertainment, and is especially safe for children or non swimmers. The beautiful red sandy beach extends two kilometres to Mega Lakos beach.

Petani beach is only a short drive away with rolling waves and rocky outcrops.

This area has breathtaking views over the sea and fantastic sunsets.

The nearest town is Lixouri (about four km.) where you will find all the facilities of a traditional working town, such as shops, restaurants, banks etc.

“An excellent Villa for a quiet family holiday” Fabulous villa which met everyone's expectations in a quiet area which suited our family. Our 3 grandchildren (12 to 15) spent all their time in the pool and our elder daughter did not move from her sunbed for several days, whilst topping up her tan. Would love to return again to try and capture those magic moments with our children and grandchildren. The local taverna welcomed us and we visited alternate nights and enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

“Just what we wanted.” A very nice villa in a quiet location but easily accessable to main road. Providing easy access to all parts of this lovely island. Modern facilities made it comfortable and convenient to live in. Pool and outside faclities were good.The welcome pack was well received. Lottos Restaurant only 100 meters away catered for our gastronomic requirements most evenings and the food was only surpassed by the hospitality of Anna and her daughter Sia. There were 7 in our party ranging from 17 to 70 years and we all thoughly enjoyed staying at Villa Fengaraki and would not hesitate to return.
