Villa Kallisto(the Greek meaning of Kallisto is beautifull one) comprises of two self contained ground and first floor luxury accommodation,with two fully equipped kitchens,Luxurious open plan lounges & dining rooms,balconies with breathtaking SEA VIEWS over to the island of Zante.Each lounge includes leather settees,flatscreen satellite tvs ipod dock ,the 4 bedrooms all with balconies have either SEA or MOUNTAINS VIEWS.Master bedrooms includes two en-suite bathrooms,one with full size bath.To provide accommodation for up to five guests,or as a whole villa for up to ten guests,ideal for large groups, two families & WEDDING PARTIES,The villa benefits from its own PRIVATE POOL,with a shallow end perfect for the children.The villa also has a shaded dining area and a traditaonal GREEK BBQ.Private parking for up to three cars.

The Ionian Islands region

Kefalonia is the jewel of the Ionian Islands. It is a very peaceful Island, more suited to family parties. It has a typical Greek climate of temperatures in the high 90s in July and August, with May, June, September and October still reaching the mid 80s in temperature. Flights from the UK take three and a half hours.

The Kefalonia / Pessada area

Kefalonia can be driven around in under four hours, so you are never far from places of natural beauty. Assos, Myrtos Beach (as seen in the movie "Captain Corelli's Mandolin"), and the beautiful port of Sami are all within 30 minutes' drive from Pessada. Visit the150-million year old Drogarati Caves and the breathtaking underground lake of Melissan,just 20 minutes away.

For the wine buffs amongst you, a trip to St Gerasimos Monastery and wine tasting at the Robola Winery Is essential. Further north, but still only an hour's drive away, is the picturesque fishing village of Fiskardo. It is well worth the visit to see the only village to have survived the 1953 earthquake. Beaches are plenty. Secluded coves can be found all along the coastline. Lassi for the more adventurous is ten minutes away and offers an array of watersports including jet skis and water skiing. For the shoppers Argostoli offers assorted fashion outlets, and superb restaurants. In brief Kefalonia will be as peaceful as you make it. A true paradise, just 3 hours from the UK!

From the UK, you can fly to Kefalonia from all major airports in the Holiday season (May - Oct). Thomas Cook, Thomson, Olympic Airlines and Monarch, First Choice EasyJet, all operate flights to the Island.

If from mainland Europe, the ferry port of Sami is a 40 minute drive from our Villa, the ferry from Italy and Patrus in Greece arrive at the Port of Sami.

Pessada port is 1km away and the ferry is daily to and from the Island of Zante.
Car Hire can be sought through our local representative at Ainos Travel. Details will be forwarded on completion of any booking.

“Look no further than Villa Kallisto in Kefalonia, it has it all!!” We arrived to fantastic weather, always a good sign, the car we had pre arranged was waiting for us at the airport, and off we set following the directions we had been given. As first timers to Kefalonia we where unsure what to expect. As you drive away from the airport you are straight away into a small village, no traffic jams or hard to follow directions, in fact hardly any cars on the road at all, so refreshing and a very pleasant way to start a holiday, not having to suffer the usual traffic nightmares associated with airports. We found the villa after about 20 minutes. We knew what to expect as we had seen the website, but wow the Villa Kallisto in person is magnificent, the grounds are beautiful and full of colourful native plants and very obviously well cared for. The Villa is at the foot of the fabulous mountain range with wonderful views out to Zante. Everything that you as a holiday maker might need has been thought of and made available in this Villa. The furniture and fixtures and fittings are all of the highest standard, with lovely personal touches in each room by Mike and Eillen the owners. Our friends had the top floor which we all used in the evening after we had been out to one of the many local tavernas for dinner, a full list of recomendations is provided by Mike and Eileen in their very detailed manual. The views from the top floor are stunning and look out over to Zante and at the side of the Villa are the mountains, equally stunning both by day and night. As a group we found that we where together on the ground floor around the pool on the days we stayed in, and there is a beautiful covered area if the sun gets too hot. They even provided us with inflatables for the pool, complete with foot pump so we didnt even have to excert ourselves inflating them. The BBQ was huge and the guys loved using it as men do! The food can be bought very cheaply from the small supermarket on the main road next to a petrol station and there is also a butchers shop, details again all found in the manual. There are many beautiful beaches and towns to visit, the castle is also a must with 2 wonderful tavernas, we tried them both and, you cant miss seeing the castle and it is beautiful in the evening as it is fully lit up. The monestary is a short drive away and well worth a look. We hired a boat one day complete with the owner to drive it for us but he actually let us take turns steering, I had never done this before and it was one of the highlights of the trip. Again all details are found in the manual. I highly recomend that you do take the time to visit the other towns on this beautiful island, go up the mountains and breath the beautiful air up there and take in the stunning views. If you decide to stay in then there are 2 TV sets, DVD players, music players, plenty of books and games to keep you amused. We did not use them but the choice and range of things to do within the Villa was very impressive and well thought out. Mike and Eileen have taken time to take the work out of planning a holiday, they virtually do it all for you and are happy to help with anything you need to know prior to going. If you want to have a relaxing Villa holiday in wonderful surrounding then this is the place to do it and we very much hope to go back to this wonderful Villa.

We have just spent two wonderful weeks in this holiday rental property on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. The villa is a joy to stay in, with all your needs catered for. We were a party of eleven, and the villa accommodated us all comfortably. It is a very new property, finished to a very high standard and providing all the comforts of home, from the large screen televisions in both living areas, to the dishwasher and microwave in the kitchen.

The villa is maintained on behalf of the owners by a property manager, who was extremely helpful during our stay. The linen and towels are changed regularly by friendly helpful people. The pool is a good size and set to the rear of the villa in an area which has the sun directly on it all day with brilliant views across to Zante.

The location of the villa is a little remote, but the village of Pessada is within walking distance where there is a lovely Winery run by a couple who are very welcoming and informative about the island, and a small village shop. A small secluded beach is also within walking distance. We would recommend car hire for the duration of your stay and travelling around the island during your stay. There is some fantastic scenery and tourist areas to visit. We have spent a very relaxing and enjoyable two weeks at the villa, and will not hesitate to return at some time in the future. Spent perfect 6 days here. A little bit hard to locate, but once we got hold of the route we had no problems whatsoever. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway, Tourists without a Car(Dragos Family)

"We are back home from a very succesful and lovely holiday! Kefalonia was very interesting island with it's many beautiful small cities and villages. The Pessada Village was just as little and idyllic we had imagined. At this time of summer (27.5.-10.6.2009) there were no tavernas open, only a small shop. We had rented two cars for the whole two weeks, so it was easy to drive to some nearby villages or Argostoli to have the
dinner.

The Villa Kallisto was very nice, just as in pictures. It was easy to spend the holiday there with small children, since the kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of room in apartment. The views from the terraces were spectacular! The pool is great and big enough to enjoy swimming.

We would recommend this villa for everyone looking for peaceful place to spend the holiday. There are only few tourists in Pessada. At this time of year Pessada-beach was like a private beach, very lovely. The beach is difficult to reach: there are steps and a narrow path leading down to the beach. But the beach is worth the effort! However not suitable for disabled or very small children." (Irene Koukku)

"We have just returned from a relaxing two week stay at Villa Kallisto .
My sister, husband and 8 year old niece stayed in the top villa and myself, my husband and 12 year old daughter stayed in the bottom villa.
The owners description of the villa lends itself well to this beautiful villa .. it's spacious, clean and each villa is self contained, and well equipped. The pool was a suitable size which is set in the pretty grounds of the villa and is cleaned on a regular basis.

A car is a must during your stay here though in order to reach the local shops, restaurants and prettier beaches of Kafelonia and is a definite for taking in the spectacular sights of the island!!!. We ate out quite alot but also enjoyed catering for ourselves at the villa .. having barbecues around the pool or for a change of scene we would dine upstairs on the balcony and take in the breathtaking views across to Zante!!! (The meat market/shop is excellent and is approx 10-15 mins away).

We enjoyed visiting the caves and snorkelling in the clear blue seas but the highlight for my daughter was seeing a loggerhead turtle feeding from the fisherman's catch in Argostoli.

We would definitely recommend Villa Kallisto for a relaxing family holiday and the owners are friendly and helpful. " (Mrs Bowbrick)

Your villa was wonderful, fabulously equipped with everything we all needed with young children, loved the plastic bowls and cups, we always find that there is only and glass and china in the villas we normally rent and hyperventilate every time the kids eat/drink!! Found the villa very easy and the location was great, found it very quick to get into argostoli in the car or to anywhere local like the supermarkets. It was lovely and spacious and really really comfy for all of us, would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. It worked so well being in two separate apartments as we all had our own privacy (and my brother's children were up most nights so that was a bonus being away from that) Karen

"We recently returned from an unforgettable one week holiday at the luxurious Villa Kallisto. The Villa is situated in a very peaceful location, surrounded by olive groves, and has very pretty well maintained gardens, a superb swimming pool, and a Greek style barbeque. The views from the house are stunning. Inside it is very spacious, with top quality furnishings and fittings, and is extremely well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for a really enjoyable holiday. There were eight adults in our party, and we were all delighted with the standard of comfort and cleanliness. The house was cleaned and the linen changed halfway through the week, and the pool was also cleaned. The maintainance staff were very pleasant.
There is a delightful secluded beach within walking distance - though access would be difficult for the infirm. There are local tavernas, along with a Winery/Museum where you can book a tour followed by a wine tasting - very worth while! They also have a barbeque every Saturday night during the high season. Me and my Wife were looking for a villa in kefalonia to stay in for 2 weeks as we was getting married in Kefalonia, We decided to stay in this villa in 2009 and paid the deposit as it was the perfect size and layout for what we needed a villa for. In 2010 me & my wife went to Kefalonia to do some forward planning and whilst we was there we went to have a look at the villa.
Whilst we was out in Kefalonia the villa owners Mike & Eileen were out there to show us around and tell us anything we wanted to know. After looking around the villa and surroundings we were s glad we decided this was the Villa as it was perfect.
We returned home from Kefalonia happy we had choose a fantastic Villa to stay in.
On 12th June 2011 we flew back out to kefalonia for 2 weeks only this time there was 10 of us staying in the Villa for our wedding in Kefalonia.
The villa itself hosted a 21st birthday party, Fathers day, Our after party Wedding reception and a 30th Birthday Party!!!, We used the both kitchens for the parties which was great and the use of 2 dishwashers!!

The kitchens were fully loaded with all things you could think of.
The Beds Very Comfy
The BBQ was Amazing.
The Living Rooms great size with Dining table.
The Balcony and downstairs both had outside Dining tables.
The pool was sooo warm and a great size and a luxury having it to yourselves.
The views were spectacular.

Really we cant say a bad thing about the villa everything has been thought of and it would be hard to beat!

The biggest Thank You goes to Mike & Eileen the owners they have answered so many questions and not just about the villa they even recommended the restaurant where we had our wedding reception!!

I must also recommend THE ACROPOLIS Restaurant near avithos beach inbetween The villa and airport via Koukamalata, The Food and restaurant is amazing and already set out like a wedding venue. Denis the owner is a lovley man who will help you with anything

Once agian if you need a Villa Book this one its amazing!!!! 5 stars!!!

We have just returned from a fabulous fortnight in the sun at Villa Kallisto.The villa was beautiful-spacious,spotlessly clean,excellently equiped and brilliantly located.All the people who look after the villa are very helpful and efficient which made our holiday stress-free.The pool is lovely and big and our teenagers loved it.They also appreciated the big T.V and DVD selection.
We loved the tranquil location down the private road and the fact that the idyllic local beach was just a short walk from the villa.We were lucky enough to witness turtles hatching and making their way down to the sea which was amazing for all of us.
We liked the fact that Argostoli with its busy sea front and lively resaurants and shops was so near,yet the villa itself was such a haven of eace and relaxation.
We would like to say a big thank you to Mike and Eileen for their excellent pre-holiday information and communication.It really helped us get the most out of our stay on Kefallonia,further enhancing what was a truly superb holiday

Just back from a wonderful holiday on the beautiful island of Kelalonia.
The villa has everything you could possible need. The views from the villa are stunning and I really felt it was home from home. The pool was stunning and it was was so nice after being out for the day to come back and have a refreshing swim. We hired cars for the two weeks and found plenty to do and see. The villa is in a very relaxing position, away from everything, just what the doctor ordered. We found the villa to be very clean. The caretakers, cleaners and gardeners were all very pleasant and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to Mike & Eileen for letting us have a piece of heaven for two weeks. Hope to visit again in the not so distance future. Gill & Stuart August 2011
