Further details indoors:
Our luxurious villa is extra large with an area of 180 square metres so guests have room to spread out.
Our goal has been to create a home away from home, a truly comfortable place to return to after a day of sight seeing around the island, to spend relaxing around the pool, or to have family fun and/or adult competition on our new bocce ball court. A flat screen TV and new Ipod docker ensure up-to-date entertainment.
All bedrooms are furnished with top-of-the line super luxury imported mattresses, have en suite bathrooms and are air conditioned. The fourth bathroom is in a convenient location on the main floor near the pool.
The master bedroom has an extra large king size bed. All bathrooms are finished to the highest standard. Three have large glass and tile shower enclosures. The master bath has a jacuzzi tub with shower and double sinks in a vanity with marble surface.
Further details outdoors:
The fully tiled pool is designed at 10 metres in length to allow lap swimming as well as general use. Our pool maintenance is second to none with the waters always crystal clear.
The patio pool area is furnished with sun umbrella and lounge chairs for six. A traditional large stone barbecue is located just off the dining room.Three sets of double doors from the main floor lead to patios, the bocce ball court, our own private fruit and olive orchard, and our garden that has been landscaped with many bougainvillea, roses, jasmine, bird of paradise, and numerous fruit trees (our garden is organic with no herbicides used!).
Our new private bocce ball/boule court is located under the olive trees and will provide you with lots of adult and family fun and entertainment. This Italian game, related to lawn bowling, is increasingly popular throughout the world. (Balls and rules provided)
Besides the individual balconies off two of the bedrooms, the house has a wonderful large private covered balcony offering stunning views over our own olive grove to Mount Ainos, the sea and the coast. This can either be your private getaway or a place to share morning coffee or a bottle of Kefalonia's famous robola wine. At night, the lights of the villages along the coast are rivaled only by the stars.
After viewing the moonrise over Mount Ainos, calm descends.

The Ionian Islands region

Kefalonia's beauty is unsurpassed due to the magnificent Mount Ainos and its varied coastline.
The island is famous for the Melissani Lake, home of Odysseus's nymphs, the Drogarati Cave, the harbour of Fiskardo, its private coves and sandy beaches, all with clear turquoise waters. Kefalonian history goes back 40,000 years but it is the Myceneans who have left many ancient sites the legacy of Homer's Odyssey. Venetian castles attest to the four hundred year presence of the Venetians whose influence has given the island an Italian feel.
The winter rains mean that the island is more lush and green than most other Greek islands but summer brings heat and sun with the clear light that makes Greece renowned. Olive and citrus groves as well as many vineyards cover the gentle slopes and valleys, contrasting with the rugged mountains and dramatic cliffs.
The Kefalonia / Pessada area
The villa is located on the edge of the village of Pessada in the Livathos district on the south coast.
Pessada is a quiet village with a strong seafaring tradition with many beautiful old gardens, gates, and stone ruins. The local winery has a cafe/wine bar where you can sample local village life.
Livathos is considered one of the most beautiful areas of Kefalonia with many pretty villages, sandy beaches and olive groves. There are many wonderful walks surrounding the villa through olive groves and valleys where the sound of sheep bells is as common as those of the local church. The local sandy cove, undiscovered by tourists, is reached by a stone stairway.
The area is dotted with villages with many tavernas just a few minutes drive away. Two supermarkets, 5 kilometres away and the many bustling shops, markets, and restaurants of Argostoli, 12 kilometres away, can provide all your needs.

Guestbook for Villa Isadora
We have had a lovely two week break at Villa Isaadora. Thank you John and Jane.
Home comforts all the way!!
Kefalonia is fast becoming one of our favourite Greek islands. We found it relatively unspoilt by the ravages of modern life and all the better for it.

Dear John and Jane,
Just a quick note to say what a wonderful time we had in your lovely Kefalonian villa.
We loved the island and will definitely make a return visit. Your villa was so comfortable and spacious - we loved it!
The villa was cleaned and the laundry changed every 4 days which was an excellent service, and much appreciated as was the daily cleaning of the pool..
All the arrangements worked like clockwork, George met us at the airport and led us to the villa where Dimitris was waiting for us armed with freshly picked apricots.
We enjoyed meeting Gerasimos (who I understand you know well!) at the winery, and enjoyed sampling his fine selection of wines.
All in all a fabulous holiday, which already seems a long time ago.
Kind regards,
Sally and Mike

We have had a lovely two weeks at Villa Isadora. We went to several beaches in the area but, in the end, I think the local Pessada beaches were our favourites- both the one to the left down the steps and the ‘barefoot’ beach down the slightly precarious path to the right, which has near white sand and turquoise sea.
We have felt very at home in the vilal. The view of the sea and the coastline from the upstairs balcony is just beautiful.
Thanks to Dimitri for looking after us so well.

Villa Isadora was the perfect start to our honeymoon. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs terrace in the early morning- watching the sun emerge from behind the mountain and haaving breakfast. Then sipping our coffees as the hummingbird moths buzzed around the bougainvillea.

We have had a great week here in Villa Isadora. The villa was perfect and in such a great spot! We loved the beaches near the house- especially the one to the right of the stairs.
Mirtos beach is definitely worth a visit although the car journey there is a little windy.
Dimitri was ever so helpful and allowed things to run smoothly.!
Thank you.

Really impressed with your Kefalonia villa. Daily pool cleaning, twice weekly cleaning and the ever helpful Dimitri. We prized his wife’s tzatsiki recipe.
Our favourite beach turned out to be the delightful little cove here in Pessada but there is a wide choice across the island.
Divino Wine bar is worth a visit. We had the conducted tour a full wine tastings
Fresh fish at 1100 hour in Pessada port outside Emily’s Cantina. Excellent in the barbecue. Not cheap but worth it.
It really has been a wonderful holiday
So thanks.

"Thank you for our wonderful holiday spent at ‘Villa Isadora’ three weeks ago. We had such a very relaxing and enjoyable time, made all the more special by your very comfortable, spacious and homey villa. (The beds were the best we have ever slept in.) Dimitris was extremely polite and helpful. He made sure everything ran smoothly and came to check we were ok twice a week. We explored the whole island by car and enjoyed eating out at different locations. However our favourite restaurant was ‘Enastron’ only a few minutes away. Hopefully we will return to Kefalonia one day and I would not hesitate to book Villa Isadora again."
