Further details indoors:
Our luxurious villa is extra large with an area of 180 square metres so guests have room to spread out.
Our goal has been to create a home away from home, a truly comfortable place to return to after a day of sight seeing around the island, to spend relaxing around the pool, or to have family fun and/or adult competition on our new bocce ball court. A flat screen TV and new Ipod docker ensure up-to-date entertainment.
All bedrooms are furnished with top-of-the line super luxury imported mattresses, have en suite bathrooms and are air conditioned. The fourth bathroom is in a convenient location on the main floor near the pool.
The master bedroom has an extra large king size bed. All bathrooms are finished to the highest standard. Three have large glass and tile shower enclosures. The master bath has a jacuzzi tub with shower and double sinks in a vanity with marble surface.
Further details outdoors:
The fully tiled pool is designed at 10 metres in length to allow lap swimming as well as general use. Our pool maintenance is second to none with the waters always crystal clear.
The patio pool area is furnished with sun umbrella and lounge chairs for six. A traditional large stone barbecue is located just off the dining room.Three sets of double doors from the main floor lead to patios, the bocce ball court, our own private fruit and olive orchard, and our garden that has been landscaped with many bougainvillea, roses, jasmine, bird of paradise, and numerous fruit trees (our garden is organic with no herbicides used!).
Our new private bocce ball/boule court is located under the olive trees and will provide you with lots of adult and family fun and entertainment. This Italian game, related to lawn bowling, is increasingly popular throughout the world. (Balls and rules provided)
Besides the individual balconies off two of the bedrooms, the house has a wonderful large private covered balcony offering stunning views over our own olive grove to Mount Ainos, the sea and the coast. This can either be your private getaway or a place to share morning coffee or a bottle of Kefalonia's famous robola wine. At night, the lights of the villages along the coast are rivaled only by the stars.
After viewing the moonrise over Mount Ainos, calm descends.

Enquire nowThe Ionian Islands region
Kefalonia's beauty is unsurpassed due to the magnificent Mount Ainos and its varied coastline. The island is famous for the Melissani Lake, home of Odysseus's nymphs, the Drogarati Cave, the harbour of Fiskardo, its private coves and sandy beaches, all with clear turquoise waters. Kefalonian history goes back 40,000 years but it is the Myceneans who have left many ancient sites the legacy of Homer's Odyssey. Venetian castles attest to the four hundred year presence of the Venetians whose influence has given the island an Italian feel. The island is known for its bio-diversity. Sea turtles are common sights in Argostoli harbour and the amazing bird life makes it a good destination for birdwatching. The winter rains mean that the island is more lush and green than most other Greek islands but summer brings heat and sun with the clear light that makes Greece renowned. Olive and citrus groves as well as many vineyards cover the gentle slopes and valleys, contrasting with the rugged mountains and dramatic cliffs.
The Kefalonia / Pessada area
The villa is located on the edge of the village of Pessada in the Livathos district on the south coast. Pessada is a quiet village with a strong seafaring tradition with many beautiful old gardens, gates, and stone ruins. The local winery has a cafe/wine bar where you can sample local village life. A new artist centre has just been created in the village based on the picturesque ruins of the residence of the well-known painter, Constantinos Parthenis, who chose Pessada to be his summer home for many years. Livathos is considered one of the most beautiful areas of Kefalonia with many pretty villages, sandy beaches and olive groves. There are many wonderful walks surrounding the villa through olive groves and valleys where the sound of sheep bells is as common as those of the local church. Two pristine local sandy coves, undiscovered by tourists, are reached by a stone stairway. The area is dotted with villages with many tavernas just a few minutes drive away. Two supermarkets, 5 kilometres away and the many bustling shops, markets, and restaurants of Argostoli, 12 kilometres away, can provide all your needs.

My husband, my teenage daughter and I stayed at the villa Isadora for a week in mid August. The location was excellent as it was very peaceful. There are some excellent restaurants fairly nearby and a small sandy cove for swimming. We spent many days exploring the local area and found all the beaches to be clean with crystal clear water. The villa was very spacious and was cool even without the air conditioner. The kitchen was a good size with marble tops. The bedrooms were spacious and each had an en suite. Dimitri, who looks after the villa was there to welcome us with a bottle of wine. He was very helpful and informative. We would love to return oneday. Response: Thank you for your lovely review. We are happy that you enjoyed our villa and were well taken care of by our friendly manager. We too are amazed by how our villa stays cool even in hot weather. Of course, the air conditioning is there if needed but its nice to be able to leave doors and windows open to enjoy the wonderful Greek air. We hope to welcome you back soon. |
