About the home

This is a real family style villa located in a small peaceful village where local restaurants and convenience shops are within walking distance or less than a 5 minute drive away. The villa is fully equipped and mainatined to a high standard with brand new furniture and accessories added in just 2009 all to make your stay a real home from home and now with a twice weekly maid service!

Enjoy the warm evenings poolside with al fresco eating and BBQ facilities and spectacular views over the bay to the island of Zante. Villa Hannah, surrounded by lush olive trees, with sea and mountains views makes this an idyllic location for a relaxing holiday. The beaches of Lourdata, Karavados and Trapezaki with their crystal clear waters are just a few minutes drive away.

The three upstairs bedrooms comprise of two double beds and one twin bedded room whilst downstairs has one double and one bunk-bedded room. Upstairs has two separate shower rooms, one over the bath whilst downstairs is a combined shower/toilet room. Both upstairs and downstairs have open-plan kitchen and living areas with enough space for six people to eat and relax.

The villa can be booked for 4 or 6 guests only, accomodated in the ground or top part of the villa respectively - please see special rates!!

Towels, Bed-linen, Dinner settings, Kitchen utensils etc are all supplied. Washing machines and clothes airers are provided both upstairs and downstairs, whilst Cots and High chairs can be supplied upon request.

There are also a few toys and games supplied for children.

Further details outdoors:
The chilled swimming pool is approximately 25 square metres with depths ranging from approximately 1.5 - 2 metres and is surrounded by a stoned paved area with small shrubs in the front of the property. The rear garden is a white-gravelled area with bushes and plants surrounding the edges. Note that the swimming pool is cleaned two to three times a week.

There are no specific change-over days so bookings can commence at any time. The main electric supply for air-conditioning is activated through card keys, both upstairs and down, and these are situated by both front-doors.

Should you decide to hire the whole villa you will enjoy private pool facilities. However, if the villa is hired as two separate holiday lets the pool will be shared by both sets of guests.

The Ionian Islands region

The Ionian Islands are set to the west of the Greek mainland and Kefalonia is the largest of the seven islands. Nestling in the Ionian Sea, these islands are known for their stunning landscapes, crystal clear waters as well as their charming villages and natural beauty.

The Kefalonia / Trapezaki area

Situated between Corfu and Zakynthos (Zante) islands, Kefalonia is arguably the less-spoilt Island with a climate and landscape that sun-worshippers and holiday-makers who want to relax will adore. Whilst Kefalonia has many beautiful beaches Myrtos, one of the most photographed beaches in Greece, is truly spectacular.

Enjoy a leisurely drive along the beautiful mountainous coastline to the old capital and fishing port of Fiskardo for lunch where you can enjoy delicious Greek cuisine at one of the tavernas along the harbourside. The picturesque Drogarati Caves and Lakes can be found about 20kms from the present capital, Argostoli and are a great place to visit in order to cool down during the hot summer months! The South-East shows off its dramatic and rugged coast-line at Poros and Skala, whilst the port of Sami, famous as the setting for the film, ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’ , offers sea-view restaurants and shops. Kefalonia also produces its own wine and a visit to one of the vineyards is a must for wine lovers.
If you want to explore further afield ferry services to the Islands of Zakynthos and Ithaca are available; as well as one to Lixouri on the western part of Kefalonia.

Guests whose holidays include 16th August will enjoy the feast day of Agios Gerasimos, the patron saint of Kefalonia who remains one of the most revered Greek saints. A visit to the Monastery will give a panoramic view of village life below.

At Christmas time the climate is of course much cooler but the atmosphere is still one of relaxation. For those booking through the Christmas season, a Christmas tree and festive decorations are also provided!

From the UK, a number of charter operators such as Thomsons and First Choice run summer schedules from many UK airports direct to Kefalonia (EFL), with flights normally available on Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays. Otherwise, from other parts of the world, there are daily direct flights to Kefalonia from Athens or ferries can be taken from the mainland to the ports of Sami or Poros.

Car Hire

Although taxis can be hired quite easily, car hire is definitely advised and is easily available at the normal car hire companies located at the airport. One very good local company is ‘Greekstones’ who offer competitive car hire rates - www.greekstones-rentacar.com with an offer to all the visitors to Villa Hannah of 10% discount on the official rates and an additional 5% discount for May & October i.e 10% for June, July, August & September and 15% discount for May & October.

A 10% non-refundable deposit payable within two weeks of your booking enquiry will secure your holiday dates. A £75 per person security deposit is required with the final balance payment and refunded within two weeks subject to confirmation of no breakages/damage/complaints.

Bookings of three weeks or more will enjoy a 10% discount.
