Villa Eleni is a 2 storey family villa offering a high standard of accommodation in a peaceful setting on the outskirts of the village of Sarlata. The villa stands in its own grounds with an attractive well maintained garden, private swimming pool and BBQ area. Within the villa are 3 double bedrooms all en-suite, 1 bedroom is situated on the ground floor; all bedrooms have stunning sea views. The villa is fully air-conditioned. The ground floor is open plan; the living area has TV, DVD player feature fireplace & comfortable seating. The fully fitted kitchen fitted kitchen has 4 ring hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. The dining area has a table & chairs to comfortably seat 6 adults. Externally the pool area has attractive gardens with sun beds & parasols; a pergola surrounds the front of the villa. Villa Eleni is located on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Sarlata but within walking distance of 2 mini-markets and tavernas. This is called the Livathos region of the island and is only a five minute drive to reach the resort of Lassi with its many tavernas and several bars. For those guests wanting a more active 'nightlife' Argostoli the capital town only a ten minute drive from the villa, again a cosmopolitan town, not wholely given over to tourism. The villa is ideally situated to explore the whole island, and car hire is recommended to do this, although not essential if you just want a 'chill out'. Local taxis are inexpensive and easy to call up.

The Ionian Islands region
Kefalonia is the largest of the Lonian Islands and once voted 10th in the world scenic beauty league. For visitors looking to get off the beaten track, Kefalonia offers spectacular scenery, magnificent white beaches, curvy coastlines, majestic mountains, aquamarine waters, green pine scented forests, charming fishing villages and the bluest skies. The island boasts the 3rd largest mountain range in Greece, including the national park of Ainos, and offers refuge to wild ponies, golden eagles, osprey and many other protected species. Marine life in the area is rich as well, offering a protected environment to dolphins, rare monk seals and the loggerhead turtle. The wonderful beaches of Kefalonia are famous in Greece for their extreme and unspoiled natural beauty. They all have fine golden or white sand and magnificent emerald waters. Some of those beaches are large, fully organised while others are coil up in picturesque little bays and are empty of every kind of facilities: Myrtos, Lourdas, Skala, Xi, Megas Lakos, Antisamos and many more.
Kefalonia / Sarlata area
Sarlata is a small village about one Kilometre from the airport and it's raised position gives it some wonderful views over the Ionian Sea. The village also has a small Mini Market and some very good tavernas nearby. There is also a small local shop within 2-3 mins walk. Ammes Beach is approximately 2 Km. The villa is conveniently positioned just a 10 minute drive from the Busy Tourist resort of Lassi and it is only another 5 minutes on to the Capital Argostoli with its shops and restaurants. The numerous villages of the verdant island of Kefalonia Greece are all very picturesque and attractive. Many of them are located in the vast mountainous area of the island while some others can be found on its impressive coastline. Worth-seeing is the fantastic village of Fiscardo which still have all its traditional and Venetian buildings. Melissani lake, Drogarati cave,the village of Assos and the only village undisturbed after the devastating earthquake of 1953 - Fiscardo are all not to be missed.
How to get there
Charter airlines fly directly to Kefalonia from 1st May to end of October on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Flights depart from several regional airports, eg. All our guests will be met personally on arrival and taken to the villa and returned to the airport on leaving day. Check in time to the villa is usually around 1pm, but luggage can be left at the villa any time after 10am. Check out time is 10am unless arranged otherwise by us when you book your holiday. We do not ask for a deposit for damages however we do ask our guests to let us know if anything has been broken so that it can be sorted out before the next guests arrival. We do allow for wear and tear but will ask for payment before you leave for any damage beyond this, which will be at our discretion.
Conditions
Should 2 people only wish to rent the villa during June & September the weekly tariff will be £800. Should you decide to book the villa for your holiday a £200 non-refundable deposit will be required. The final balance for your holiday is required 8 weeks before you arrive at the villa. We recommend that your holiday insurance is started as soon as the final balance has been paid, in case of cancellation. No refunds can be given once the final balance has been paid. We cannot take bookings with a credit/debit card, only by personal cheque or bank transfer.
