About the home
The fully air-conditioned detached property has a large open plan kitchen/dining living area with 2 pairs of French doors leading on to a covered veranda and terrace with outside dining and relaxation areas surrounding the private pool. The landscaped garden is planted with flowering shrubs and Jasmine and has a secluded area of lawn set with olive, citrus trees. A herb garden provides rosemary, origano, mint and thyme for your traditional Greek cooking.
The kitchen/dining area is fully fitted with seating for 6 people and includes washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob ,toaster, kettle and sandwich toaster as well as a large fridge freezer. The living area has 2 sofas one of which is a sofa bed for 2 persons. Television with free to view satellite channels is also provided together with a DVD/CD player. A selection of DVD/CDs are available for your enjoyment.
There is also a toilet on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, both of which are air conditioned. They both have fitted wardrobes and storage; one has a double bed with en suite bathroom including a bath with shower ; the second has twin beds and an en suite shower room. An additional folding single bed is available if required. Hot water is supplied using solar power.
Both bedrooms have a balcony with stunning views over the Bay of Argostoli and Aenos mountains as well as unobstructed views to St Georges Castle.
The property has a private pool and is a short drive from the airport and the blue flag beach of Avithos.
Villa Jasmine is situated centrally in the village, 100 metres off the road which runs through the village of Lakithra. The village has a small general dealers, a cake/ chocolate shop, pharmacy, bar/coffee shop, Byron's Restaurant, Obelisk fast food take away and cafe and several other fast food outlets. Larger supermarkets can be found 5 minutes away on the main Argostoli - Poros road (Lidl,Carrefour etc)
Argostoli, the cosmopolitan capital of the island, with its ferryport is a short 10 minute drive away with its numerous shops, bars restaurants and facilities too numerous to mention.
The villa is ideally situated to explore the many delights of this beautiful Ionian Island. The villa is surrounded by olive trees on three sides, overlooks an orange grove and is adjacent to Villa Theos. It is ideally situated for walking and enjoying the surrounding countryside.
Although car hire is recommended to see the delights of this beautiful island coach trips can be arranged at either Mouikis Village Resort in Lakithra or at Travel Agents in Argostoli. WI FI IS AVAILABLE to guests free of charge.

This has been our 3rd visit to Villa Jasmine & Kefalonia.As usual our stay at the villa has been fantastic. As soon as you step through the door it feels like your home for the next 2 weeks.We have had 2 weeks of great weather, getting hotter each day. Tried Casa Grec, recommended by a previous guest, lived up to recommendation, spare ribs were to die for. Best supermarket is A&B they have the most choice and their roast chickens are fab. Fabulous 2 weeks, hot & sunny every day. Loved Avithos beach as we got to swim with the turtles. So many places to see and things to do. What a lovely place to spend our honeymoon. Kefalonia is beautiful, the villa served us well. Excellent, we have spent lazy days by the pool with everything to hand, but also days out. Avithos is great and only 10 minutes away. The villa feels like it is only 10 to 15 minutes away from everything, very well situated.

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Villa Jasmine. It was everything that we hoped for and more. There has been much thought even down to the games for a rainy day - should there be one. The fittings and furnishings are first rate especially the kitchen which is set up for "Ready, Steady, Cook"! Not that we stopped in during the evening; there are too many taverna/restaurants within easy reach. It was particularly pleasant to come back at night and have coffee on the upstairs balcony looking out towards the lights of Argostoli and the starry sky above. Magical. The Ionian Islands region
The archpeligo of 11 islands , large and small, strung out along the west coast of mainland Greece are known as the Ionian Islands. The 6 large ones are Zante, Ithaca, Corfu, Lefkada, Paxoi and the largest is Kefalonia and the small ones are Anti Paxoi ,Ereikousa, Mathraki, Othonoi, Meganisi and the Strofades. The history of these islands goes back millenia known from the lines of Homer's Odyssey.
These islands , with their wonderful natural environment, abundant water, fascinating towns and villages, mild climate, superb beaches, crystal clear seas and archaeological sites are like jewels in the Ionian sea.
The Kefalonia area
Kefalonia is an island that is off the beaten path and enthusiastically loved by most that visit. It is the largest of the Ionian Islands and features many interesting archaeological sites, as well as geological phenomena and offers more than just stunning beaches and picturesque villages. The southern part of the island, called Livathos is home to the capital city, the airport and many of the most fantastic beaches and cultural sights. Villa Jasmine has an ideal location. Being only ten minutes by car from either the capital city of Argostoli or the island airport (EFL) makes it a very covenient location . The village of Lakithra sits on the top of a hill which gives the villa absolutely amazing views from its elevated position and balconies. Lakithra itself is home to some great restaurants, a really good bakery and a few shops.
Local activities diving, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, wind-surfing, water skiing, paragliding. Ten pin bowling is also available in the nearby village of Travilata.

From May to October Kefalonia is well served by charter flights from many regional airports in the UK. The rest of the year fly to Athens where there are 2 flights per day to Kefalonia.
Buses also leave Athens to the port of Patra where they connect with the ferry to Sami,Kefalonia. Ferries also leave from Kilini on the mainland arriving at Poros. Both ferry ports are 30 - 40 minutes drive from the villa.

This was our first holiday without the children. We adored the villa but kept thinking how the children would have loved it as well, especially the pool! The villa was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious with everything you could possibly need and more. The air conditioning was most welcome at night as were the mosquito screens on the doors and windows. Perfectly located for travelling around the whole of the island which is exactly what we did. Thank you to Pam, Ivor and Ken for their local knowledge and of course to John and Linda for sharing their lovely home. |

Just got back from a week's stay in Villa Jasmine, Kefalonia. Arrived in the evening to a beautiful villa that we found hard to prize ourselves away from! The villa is very clean and well equipped, extremely spacious with a very good sized pool. We spent the week exploring the island and days at the villa. It is the most relaxing holiday we have been on and we could have stayed a lot longer! We hope to come back someday soon!
