The villa is fully equipped to a high standard and is accessed by a small tarmac country road of which the last 50 metres surface is concreted and steep allowing for access to Anemoni and 3 other properties which makes it almost a traffic free zone. The villa is private but is not remote. Car hire is essential for your stay with many car hire companies available. Air-conditioning is included in the price of your stay. There is a safe for valuables. Further shopping requests can be catered for on request.

The nearest beach is 700m, sun loungers and parasols are available for hire, beach tavernas are situated on the waters edge for lunchtime snacks and scrumptious evening meals. The famous Caretta beach is a five minute car journey with many more sandy coves and beaches close by ready to be discovered by either hiring a small motor boat for the day or jumping in the car to explore.

Katelios is a tiny fishing village on the south west coast of kefalonia. Once little more than a hamlet until about 20 years ago when tourists first discovered the beauty and tranquillity offered by the sandy beach and flat farming land in the plain behind. A couple of tavernas and a small collection of fisherman`s huts were dotted behind the tiny harbour area known as Kato Katelios. Popular amongst the more mobile residents of the Capital Argostoli, Katelios soon became a renowned village for the quality of its seafood tavernas. The village has quietly grown over the last two decades as more people discover its delights, however the village still retains its quiet tranquil relaxed atmosphere that people come back to experience year after year. Katelios, like virtually all of Kefalonia was all but destroyed during the earthquake of 1953.

The village has a good choice of tavernas and bars, a favourite being Blue Sea. Car hire, and boat hire are both available to rent from the village. There is also a choice of tours that can be taken if you prefer. A daily bus is available to Skala, Poros and Argostoli. There is a water bus that will take you to Skala and can even go as far as Poros. 2 mini markets supplying everything from beers, wines, meat and fresh fruit and vegetables are open until late in the evening.

Katelios has a small horseshoe shaped beach where sunbeds and parasols are available for guests to hire.

.

The main banks are situated in Argostoli. Pharmacies are located in the many villages and towns. 8km away is the pretty resort town of Skala with its pavement cafes and wide selection of restaurants, from traditional Greek Tavernas to Chinese, Italian and Indian restaurants. With 5km of gently shelved shore, pristine sandy beaches, children's play areas, a variety of water sports, scuba diving, plus taxi boats ready to take you to deserted beaches or neighbouring villages, there's plenty to attract all age groups. The quaint town of Fiskardo on the north of the island can be reached withing 2 hours with many beautiful places of interest to see along the way including the famous Myrtos beach, Assos, Agia Efimia and Sami. Some of the mountain roads have spectacular views and the mountain goats are often seen grazing along the steep cliffs, wild mountain horses roam the famous Mount Aenos which rises up through the middle of the island.
