Home description

All the villas are two-storey with sitting room, one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms, two balconies and a terrace. Each has a private freshwater swimming pool surrounded by grassed lawns, a purpose built barbecue and dining area.

The villas are modern, furnished to a high standard and well equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD and CD. The kitchen includes an oven with 4-ring hob, fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, washing machine, dishwasher and mosquito machines. Bedrooms and sitting rooms of each villa open out on to balconies and terraces with sea views.

The ground floor consists of an open-plan sitting room and kitchen with three sets of patio doors leading to a covered sea-facing terrace. The first floor has one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and two twin-bedded rooms both with en suite shower rooms. All bedrooms have a sea-facing balcony.

The Ionian Islands region

Beautiful Kefalonia is the second largest of the Ionian Islands and will be familiar to many as the setting for Captain Corelli's Mandolin. It is an island of contrasts with stunning beaches, forests, imposing mountains, caves and lakes where both beach lovers and walkers will feel at home. There are also Roman, Venetian and Byzantine ruins for budding archaeologists to explore.

Kefalonia / Spartia area

Our villas are on the Liakas Peninsula near Spartia on the south coast of the island.

Twenty five minutes walk from the villas is the traditional village of Spartia which boasts a handful of tavernas, a couple of mini-markets and a lovely sandy beach. For local exploring you will find close by the Mycenaean tombs of Mazarakata dating back to 1200 BC, the monastery and museum of Saint Andreas, two Robola wine estates offering tastings of their produce and the Castle of Saint George which is also a perfect panoramic setting for romantic dining. It's a lovely area with an abundance of grapevines, fruit trees and olive groves not to mention beautiful beaches and excellent tavernas.

How to get there

Fly direct to Kefalonia. Charter flights leave the UK on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The little village of Spartia is a five minute drive or twenty five minute walk away where there are a few shops, tavernas and a beautiful sandy beach a short distance from the village. The south coast resorts of Lourdas and Trapezaki are nearby and worth visiting whilst if you fancy tripping the light fantastic, the bright lights of Argostoli, the island capital, are just twenty minutes drive away.

Half a mile from the villas is Liakas Horio, a small group of holiday houses with a pool, bar and tennis court which our villa guests are welcome to use.
