About the home

Minies Beach Villas: Magnolia, Avra & Maistros are three detached holiday homes, each on 1,300 sq.m, land size with its own fruit tree garden. Maistros villa has a private pool (40 sq.m.). All holiday homes have balconies for al fresco dining, a front sun terrace and exterior covered BBQ facilities (130 sq.m.), a roof terrace with built-in sitting space for mountain and sea views. Each villa has a secure single-car garage space (30 sq.m.) and a driveway, where additional cars can be parked.

Minies Beach Villas are in a quiet location, 5 minutes from Minies beaches. Mini markets and tavernas are within walking distance (2.5km) near Ammes Beach. The famous Makris Gialos water-sports beach, the shops, tavernas and bars of the island's capital Argostoli (9km), the busy seaside resort of Lassi (7km) and the airport are within 5-10 minutes' drive.

Minies Beach Villas are built with luxurious construction materials, such as granite and wooden floors, aluminum balcony and window shutters, double-glazed security doors and windows, air-conditioning. Each holiday home has 3 double bedrooms that sleep 6 guests, 2 family bathrooms, 2 separate WCs and a playroom that can sleep 2 additional guests.

The rooms are located on five different levels for maximum privacy. On the ground floor level of each holiday villa is situated a large open-plan kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room with marble fireplace and a WC. The sitting room extends to the outside sun terrace, where one can enjoy al fresco breakfast, dinner or barbeque in the dedicated covered area.

The Ionian Islands region

They are amongst the greenest Greek islands. The best and largest island in the Ionian Sea is Kefalonia (or Cephalonia). It is renowned for its amazing beaches and you will need at least a week to see the island properly. It combines blue turquoise waters with a long history, various sightseeing opportunities and natural beauty. Whether you like swimming, sailing, watersports, hiking or just relaxing, spending time with your family or friends, Kefalonia is the island for you. Its people will capture you with their hospitality and ingenuity, as they are rumored to be the real descendants of Ulysses.

The Kefalonia / Minia area

The villas are in a quiet location; a few minutes’ walk or drive to the best sand beaches on the island. Mini markets and tavernas are within walking distance in the Ammes beach area. A few minutes’ drive to the island’s capital, Argostoli (9km), the busy seaside resort of Lassi (7km) and the airport (3km). Ideal for families seeking relaxation in summer and winter. Four different sand beaches are a stone throw away: Eglina beach (350m), Megali Ammos beach (650m), Spasmata beach (1.3km), Ammes beach (2km). Some are well organized with umbrellas and beach bars, while others are not. On a windy day, because of their circular orientation, there will always be a perfectly calm and a very windy beach close by. Further away, you can get, in a few minutes’ drive, to some of the best sand beaches on the island: cosmopolitan Makris Gialos beach (5.8km), Platis Gialos beach (5.5km), Avithos beach (5.8km) or Ai Helis beach (4.5km). Kefalonia’s picturesque capital, Argostoli, and the seaside resort of Lassi are a few minutes away. They are the main amenities and entertainment hubs on the island, in terms of watersports, tavernas, bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, hospital, banks, glass bottom boat excursions etc. Kefalonia is one of the largest islands in Greece and it will take at least a week to see it properly. During your stay you can visit the Venetian castles of St George and Assos, the picturesque fishing village of Fiscardo, the Melissani and Drogarati Caves at Sami. You will gawp at the view from the monasteries of Kipouria, Themata, Sissia and you will see many picturesque small villages and beaches along the way. If you enjoy outdoor activities, such as fishing, horse riding, hunting, diving, sea kayaking, canoeing, yachting or even flying a light aircraft, there will be plenty of opportunities in Kefalonia to indulge in such pursuits. You can also go trekking on mount Ainos (1,620m), one of the highest mountains in the Greek Islands and one of ten National Parks in Greece. There is an excellent view from its peak, where in ancient times a temple of the ancient Greek god, Zeus, was situated, according to the ancient Greek author Hesiod. Kefalonia became famous worldwide, since being the background setting of Louis de Bernieres bestselling book ”Captain Corelli's Mandolin" and the ensuing Hollywood film starring Penelope Cruz and Nicholas Cage. If you would like to explore nearby islands with your own car, it is possible to visit Ithaka, Lefkas or Zakynthos from Kefalonia by ferry boat or as part of an organized excursion.

You can fly to Kefalonia from most of the major European airports. From the UK, the flight time is approximately 3 hours and 15 mins. There are also daily flights to Kefalonia airport via Athens. Ferries from mainland Greece go to Argostoli, Poros and Sami.
You can also get to Kefalonia from nearby islands, by ferry boat. From Ithaka (to Fiscardo port), Lefkas (to Fiscardo or Sami port) or Zakynthos (to Pessada port).
The villas are a few minutes away from Kefalonia airport and Argostoli port.

“Great place!” My partner and I spent 2 weeks in these amazing villas together with his two brothers and their families. The place is great for families who want quiet and relaxing holidays but it was good for us too, we popped easily into town for a drink (only few minutes by car) and occasionally went off on day trips to explore Kefalonia . The location is good, next to some great beaches- one is walking distance. The kids loved it and we loved it too because after a long day of fun and games with the nepheues we could go back to the privacy of our villa-it actually felt like home! Will come back next year to celebrate my 40th birthday with our friends!

“just what i needed for holidays” A perfect situation on a wonderful island. We have been going to Cefallonia for years, It is the first time I find such a beautiful home to stay, with great facilities, in such a reasonable price, And everybody in our group agrees with me!!! After my stay there, standards will be met at a much higher level. Definitely I will come back... Thank you again!!! :-))
