Villa Semeli is the perfect villa for those looking for a 2 bedroomed family holiday property. The villa is stylishly designed and features a private swimming pool. Katelios is a short stroll to a sandy beach, tavernas, shops and bars are all close by. The villa is fully air conditioned and comfortably sleeps 2-5 people.

Layout: 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin), 3 bathrooms, lounge with covered terrace overlooking pool, large kitchen/dining area (with sofa bed for 5th person if required).

The front door of the villa opens into a small reception area with desk and then into the living room. Stylishly designed, with comfortable sofas and a coffee table, the air-conditioned living room has Satellite TV (local channels) and a DVD player. French windows lead out to a covered balcony overlooking the private swimming pool. From the lounge balcony, Roman steps lead directly down to the pool.

A spiral staircase leads down to the open plan kitchen and dining area with a separate bathroom. In the dining area there is a sofa which converts to a bed for a 5th person if required. The kitchen is fully equipped with full cooker with oven, microwave, fridge freezer, espresso and filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and iron.

There are 2 air conditioned bedrooms each with their own bathrooms: The master bedroom has double bed and balcony doors leading to front and back balconies. The view from the main balcony overlooks the pool and has sea views between the trees. The second bedroom has twin beds with similar style to the master bedroom. The ground floor dining room has a sofa bed and separate bathroom with full bath for a fifth person if required.

The villa is set in well tended gardens and has a private pool with sunbathing terrace and garden furniture.

Kefalonia is located on the West coast of Greece, and has a mild climate along with excellent beaches. The island of Kefalonia has escaped mass tourism and recently was used to film Captain Corelli's Mandolin, set in war-time Kefalonia. The film, with Nikolas Cage, was a huge success and it put Kefalonia firmly on the 'must visit' list of destinations.

The Kefalonia / Katelios area

Katelios is a sleepy coastal village with sandy beach and small fishing harbour. Katelios is famous for its fresh fish tavernas that line the waterfront. There are several (low-key) bars, a couple of supermarkets and an exchange/car rental office. A short walk from the villa brings you to the Blue Flag beach of Saint Barbara which is sandy and has sun beds and beach umbrellas for hire. The beach rarely becomes busy, with the largest number of visitors being the loggerhead turtles who favour the soft sand for making a nest!

The majority of flights to Kefalonia are usually available on the following days of the week: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. If you need help finding flights, we will be pleased to help you, just send a message with your dates and which airports you can depart from.
When you arrive to Kefalonia airport, it is just a short walk to the arrivals lounge. There are a few steps up to the passport control area and the luggage reclaim is next to passport control. There are toilets in the luggage claim section. Trolleys are free of charge and situated just outside the airport doors. We can arrange a hire car or taxi to meet you and take you to the villa.

“Wonderfully relaxing family holiday.” Villa Semeli was perfect. Amazingly well equipped (the best we've ever rented), spacious and tastefully furnished. The location was excellent. The village, mini-market, restaurants and beach all reachable by foot, although do take care with children along the stretch of road without a footpath. The housekeeper was lovely - really friendly and flexible about laundry changes etc. and the villa was spotlessly clean. I would recommend a car (we rented one from the rental company just along the road from the villa) so you can explore the island but if you only plan to relax by the pool or on Katelios beach it is not absolutely necessary. From Katelios you can hire a motor boat for the day. The service, booking procedure and support from Agni Travel was excellent. I can't recommend them highly enough.
