Villa Artemis is a fully air conditioned villa, situated in the beautiful village of Karavados. It has stunning sea views to the neighbouring island of Zante and is only 1.5km away from the picturesque Beach at St. Thomas. Situated in the South west region of Kefalonia, Karavados is a beautiful village standing at the foot of Mount Aenos, surrounded by olive and citrus groves.
The village has 2 mini markets, one also having a restaurant and bar, which is within easy walking distance from the villa. It is perfectly located for a choice of beautiful sandy beaches.
St Thomas Bay is less than a 4 min drive away with Trapazeki beach a further 2 minutes min drive and the long sandy beach of Lourdas, with its many tavernas and restaurants, is 10 mins drive.
The capital Argostoli is only 15 mins drive away and has a full range of shops, banks and many harbour side restaurants. Villa Artemis does not need a pool due to its close proximity to some of the islands most beautiful beaches! Although for our younger visitors we do have a paddling pool available!
Broadband wireless internet is available.
The living accommodation is open plan and has a well equiped luxury fitted kitchen. Fly screens are fitted to all windows and patio doors.The villa also benefits from an enclosed garden and parking for two vehicles.

The Living room has large open plan living/dining area with TV, DVD, PS2 and CD player (with USB/MP3 connection), having patio doors leading to the outside terraces with stunning sea views to Zante.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge freezer, cooker and hob, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is also a washing machine, ironing board and clothes airer.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, fitted wardrobes/cupboards, free standing full length mirror and patio doors leading to terrace with sea views to Zante.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds and fitted wardrobes/cupboards.
There are also two sofa beds in the living area.
The main bathroom has a large enclosed shower cubicle, wc, vanity wash hand basin with mirror and cupboards.
There is a cloakroom with second wc and vanity wash hand basin with mirror and cupboards.

The villa has a large garden with a raised patio and lower lawned area. There is a bistro table and 2 chairs on the patio outside bedroom 1 and a table and 4 chairs for outdoor dining.

The Ionian Islands region
This group of Greek islands is situated off the west coast of Greece in the Ionian Sea. The islands are some of the most traditional of all the Greek islands. The scenery of the Ionian islands is vast and varied, ranging from shear cliffs to flat agricultural planes to sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Beaches also vary widely, with Myrtos beach being the most famous. Kefalonia is the perfect place to swim, walk, enjoy glorious vistas, visit historical sites and most of all, relax.
The Kefalonia / Karavados area
Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands and is the least affected by tourism. As a result it is widely believed to be the most beautiful. Karavados is in the South west of the island. St Thomas bay is 1.5km away from Villa Artemis. It has two sandy bays and flat rocky area and is ideal for snorkelling and swimming. It's gentle slopes make it ideal for children. Trapezeki beach is a 5 minute drive and the long sandy beach at Lourdas is a 10 minutes drive away. All have a selection of bars and restaurants. The local mini-markets are within easy walking distance of Villa Artemis and both have adjoining bars and one now has a restaurant. . There is a wide selection of shops, restaurants and supermarkets in and around the local villages and a full range of shops, restaurants and banks in Argostoli.

Thomas Cook, Thomson & Monarch Airlines fly in from most major UK airports. Also from May 2012 Easyjet now fly from London Gatwick to Kefalonia offering cheaper flights!Ryan Air flights are also available from London Stansted. There are regular ferry routes to and from Italy, the Greek mainland and neighbouring islands.

Wonderful house! We have spent 2 absolutely great weeks in summer 2012. The most beautiful thing? To come home in the evening and to have dinner on the terrace while looking at the sea and listening to the silence all around! |
