BookThe Paphos region
Cyprus is a favourite holiday destination known for its friendly English speaking locals and near zero crime rate. Being in the Mediterranean it is an island of beauty and contrasts, from golden beaches to the cool pine clad Troodos mountains, covered in snow during the winter for your skiing vacations.
Cyprus promises to give you a troubled free holiday with plenty of sun and places to explore, from the Tomb of the Kings and Aphrodites rock to the unspoilt country side outside the main coastal towns. Driving in Cyprus is trouble free on its mostly modern roads.
The Kato Paphos / Universal District area
Paphos is a relaxing seaside resort in the south-west corner of the island, with its safe beaches, a large variety of restaurants and a few discos and nightclubs. The promenade takes you to the harbour area full of ancient history, ruins and mosaics and an amphitheatre, all open to the public including the 16th century fortress.
The old town of Paphos or Ktima to the locals, is on a hill overlooking the sea and is a must to see with its large undercover market and many shops, and plenty of local fruit and veg. for sale in the market.
For golfers there are three golf courses within a 15 min. drive from Paphos, a short trip along the coast takes you to quiet beaches perfect for those who prefer a more peaceful holiday destination.

We had never been to Cyprus before and stumbled across this apartment whilst browsing online. The pictures looked great and the reviews were good so we though we'd give it a go. Our first impressions on our arrival (other than the heat!) was how clean and tidy the apartment was. It had everything we needed and was a great place to relax when we needed to get out of the sun. We spent the week by the pool, wondering around town and eating as much of the local cuisine as we could manage. We would recommend the Lamb Kleftiko and Beef Stifado! We also visited the sights and would recommend a trip to Paphos Castle and a walk across the coast. The weather was fantastic throughout the week and everybody we met was very friendly. Only a couple of niggles; - The road outside the complex has no pavement and isn't too wide, meaning that cars will often have to slow down to pass you or go one at a time. We weren't in any danger, but those with young children or animals may find it a bit uncomfortable. - The nearest shop is a 10 minute walk away, and it would have been nice for there to have been some bottled water in the fridge on our arrival. Overall, we don't want to criticize too much as it is a fantastic apartment and we would definitely stay there again if we went back to Cyprus! |

My partner and i stayed here at Pafilia Gardens for a total get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It certainly was that, we had total peace, quite and tranquility. This was the first time that i had ever booked a private apartment, now doing so i don't think i would ever go back to conventional hotels. The apartment was slightly off the beaten track and a use of a car would be a great advantage (we hired a jeep from "George's wheels"). I am a great haggler and i found this a massive advantage when negotiating the price, my partner however decided to wait outside while i did this as he finds it cringing!! The whole holiday was well spent sunning ourselves, drinking the odd beverage and eating traditional foods. I would recommend "Georgia's restaurant" for a traditional meze, don't worry if you don't like sharing too much as there is plenty of dishes on the menu and you will be willing them to stop but they really do just go on and on. Chloe's Chinese restaurant is a must to visit as well, if you are feeling romantic then take a table outside, this will give you a beautiful view over the harbour and with the lights that are on the trees outside this is an idyllic place to enjoy the ambiance that Cyprus has to offer. There are plenty of places to visit around Cyprus so make sure you take in the views, from Troodos mountains to Coral bay, they are all as beautiful as the people that live there. The apartment was fantastic, full of all the mod con's that you could ever need whilst on holiday, it was very spacious and well laid out. The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, fridge/freezer and having the use of an iron and ironing board was a fantastic benefit, it meant that i didn't have to pack one, which meant i had room in my case!! I would definately book this apartment again in the future as the owners were very flexible with dates, they also arrange our transport to and from the airport for us. This took away any stress making us feel like we were on holiday as soon as we were at the airport. |

We had nevery bben to Cyprus before, but could not have found anywhere nicer to stay. The Apartment had everything you would need for a good holiday, I alway take a bottle opener and a can opener with me but did not need it here. There way plenty of outdoor space to sit in the sun, the roof terrace was huge but we did not us it as we were out and about most of the time. The balconies at night with a glass of wine were very nice. If we go back to Cyprus I would book this up again. we had a very good time and would recomend this appartment to anyone. |
