Home description

An ideal base for either relaxing or exploring the local or island historical sites, Paradise Gardens is situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the harbour, numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and tavernas.

There is a kiosk approximately 2 mins walk from the apartment which sells a good range of necessities (milk, bread, freshly baked cakes etc), just next door to the kiosk there is also a takeaway/eat-in restaurant which sells a wide variety of food both Greek and Western European.

A very good bus service will take you to various places if you wish to explore, including Coral Bay, the local market and further afield. Explore the Troodos mountains or use as a base for walking, diving, golf or other numerous recreational pursuits.

The Paphos District

Paphos – the number one destination in Cyprus with its bustling harbour, natural beauty, golden beaches, numerous outdoor cafes and restaurants and friendly atmosphere. Paphos has retained its old town charm and with its unique blend of ancient and modern attractions offers the perfect holiday retreat.

Paphos was the capital of Cyprus in roman times – a port for pilgrims visiting the Shrine of Aphrodite. Paphos is divided into three distinct areas – old Paphos with its old town charm, winding streets and bustling market, modern Paphos hosting a large selection of designer shops, boutiques and services and Kato Paphos – meaning lower Paphos – consisting of the harbour area with its numerous outdoor cafes, top class restaurants and beaches and of course Pafos Fort set on the picturesque harbour. Built in 1592 on the site of a medieval castle, the fort is open to the public and during recent years has hosted several successful operas.

The whole area is so rich in history and culture that UNESCO decided to add Paphos as a whole to its World Cultural heritage list. If you visit nothing else of historical interest whilst in Paphos it really is well worth the time to visit the famous caves and vaults of the Tombs of the Kings, the ancient Odeon Theatre and the mosaics of the third century AD, the finest in the Mediterranean.


Kato Paphos / Paradise Gardens area

Paradise Gardens is situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the Harbour, numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and tavernas. There is a very good bus service, which will take you to various places if you wish to explore, the bus service is very cheap and will take you to Coral Bay, the local market and various other places.

There are also leaflets of local places of interest in a kitchen drawer, which we hope you will find interesting. If you come across other leaflets which you think may interest future guests, please feel free to add them to the collection.

On foot from the apartment explore the historical Roman areas, the harbour and sea front and visit the dining and entertainment areas. Go deep sea fishing, underwater diving, golfing or motorcycling and site-seeing.

Further afield explore the Troodos mountains, Afrodite's tomb and walk and trek over the Western Peninsula.

Tranquil view over tall evergreen trees and the remainder of the development. Good community spirit amongst residents who are sociable and helpful. Parking below property on ground level.
