The Paphos region

With 340 days of sunshine and mild winters, Cyprus is the ideal place for a well-deserved relaxing holiday. Paphos is an area of outstanding beauty with breathtaking scenery, beautiful beaches and snow capped mountains in the winter. Whether you prefer the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas or the quieter more peaceful surroundings of the typical Cypriot villages, Paphos has them all. There are plenty of activities for everyone here including walking, horse riding, golf, water sports, mountain biking and much more. There are also many world heritage sites in and around Paphos. English is widely spoken and they even drive on the left!
The Kato Paphos / Regina Gardens area
There are many superb restaurants and bars in close proximity to the apartment on the Tomb of The Kings Road and a short walk will take you to the beach. The harbour boasts an array of shops selling everything from souvenirs to typical Cypriot handicrafts. Many world heritage sites can be found in the area such as the 2000 year old historic castle in the harbour, the mosaics, the baths of Aphrodite with the Tomb of The Kings situated on the doorstep of Regina Gardens. Coral Bay is a short drive away with beautiful beaches and restaurants and for those looking for something more lively Bar Street comes alive in the evening with an abundance of lively bars and nightclubs staying open until the small hours.

The flat was easy to find with good (covered) parking. The flat was clean and tidy, with everything you might need. There was hot water when we arrived. The complex was very nice, with a good sized pool and plenty of sun loungers. There was a pub 1 minute away with good food and cold beer. Would highly recommend! |

This was our first stay in Cyprus and at the apartment and it definitely did not disappoint!! The apartment was easily located just off Tomb of the Kings road and just a short walk away from some excellent restaurants. Both the apartment and complex are immaculate, lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds available. The apartment had some lovely little extras, air conditioning, ipod docking station, tv/dvd and the kitchen was very well equipped if you fancy dining in! The balcony looks directly over the pool and the view of the sunset is beautiful to sit and watch on the balcony with a glass of wine! We used the buses to both Coral Bay beach and the harbour and they were clean and easy to use, being just 2 euros for an unlimited day pass. The apartment was just a couple of minutes walk away from a friendly and cheap bar,Odysseus, which had live entertainment regularly. Its only a 10 min walk to the main strip on Tomb of the Kings road, with plenty of bars and restaurants, we recommend Chloes chinese restaurant, Olivetos for lovely steaks, DT sunsets and Fat mamas for massive portions and great value for money. Plenty to do for families too and Venus beach is only a 5 min walk. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and both the apartment and complex just made our stay special and want to give a big thank you to Dawn for letting the apartment to us, will definitely be back next year!! |

Message from owners
Thanks for all previous comments, we appreciate all suggestions, future guests keep them coming, good or bad. In response to previous comments, there is additional crockery in the cupboard above fridge and a safety deposit box will be provided as suggested. A massive THANKYOU to Sue & Andy without whose help this would not be possible. Also thanks to all guests, past and future, who have helped keep the apartment in tip top condition. Thankyou
Gill & Mark 21/9/11 to 2/10/11 Had a great time, apartment is excellent although we think it would benefit from a safe to keep valuables in. Paphos is a very nice place, visited quite a few places, but we did have hosts that have their own place and know thew island very well. Good eateries include the Devonshire, The Farmhouse, The Last Castle (vehicle required to get there), Happy Island. Good evening entertainment at DT's, Friday night especially. Thanks to Sue for getting us out of trouble when we locked the key in the apartment. Definately would come back!
Thanks Mark & Gill PS Not that it affected us but there are only 3 dinner plates in the cupboard for your attention.
Ruth & Paymen 11/9/11 to 21/9/11 Our 1st time in the apartment, we loved the complex and the pool is lovely, felt really welcomed by everyone especially at the Karaoke on Friday evening in the local bar! We loved the apartment, nice to have the extras and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed eating out at the Almond tree, Fat Mammas which has good entertainment for the little one's, Farmhouse Tavern on the Tomb of the Kings and Karlinas. We like the little beach just past Coral Bay the last stop off the 619 bus, was quiet with all you needed there including toilet, shower and a lovely restaurant. Thanks to Sue for the warm welcome and lift from the airport and her great tips re local outings. Thanks to Dawn for the use of the apartment, we really enjoyed ourselves, Ruth and Paymen
Shaun & Rachel 31/8 11to 9/9/11 Our 1st time at the apartment , plenty of space, clean, modern and tidy with all the essentials you need and some nice little extras too. Surrounding gardens and pool really lovely, relaxing atmosphere and there were plenty of sunbeds at any time of the day. Buses were really easy to use and come regularly taking just 10 minutes to reach the harbour. Its just a short walk to the Tomb of the Kings Road where there are some lovely restaurants, Olivettos is highly recommemnded, steak on the stone was georgeous.
Chloes Chinese is a beautiful restaurant with excellent srevice and quite reasonable too.
Karlinas on the Tomb of the Kings gets the big thumbs up too for excellent friendly service and the lamb was to die for. The Almond Tree was probably our best meal, it is in the harbour just behind Bar Street, the food, service and wine was 1st class and reasonably priced too, nice for a special treat. Ocean basket is excellent too if you like seafood, massive portions for next to nothing. Coral bay beach is easily accessible by bus and was a great day out, also the Tomb of the Kings and the Mosaics by the harbour was fascinating if you fancy a bit of culture. Big thankyou to Sue and Mick for a warm welcome and to Dawn for the apartment too. Would love to come back X Shaun and Rachel

Sept 2009. Apartment is lovely, clean, tidy with extra's. Washing machine is a plus.1st time here and found Cyprus is really lovely. Had some nice meals and pub just around the corner is very nice for a late drink, friendly staff. Found Mick and Sue very helpful and friendly. Thanks Dawn, will come back next year.
Aug 2009. 1st class apartment, clean, tidy and lots of added extras, a good location with a friendly atmosphere. We had a wonderful time in Paphos mainly relaxing through the day and heading to the harbour on an evening. Restaurants we reccomend, Chloes(chinese), Fat mamas, Olivetto both on the Tomb of the Kings and Gourmet taverna at the harbour. We will definitely be back. Thank you Dawn and thanks to Sue for all her help. Sam and Gary.
July 2009. . Lovely apartment! Air con, washing machine etc easy to use. Really enjoyed the stay, had a fantastic time, great food and drink. Bus service is good, last bus 11.00 so plenty of time for a meal and a few drinks at Coral bay. We would like to say a big thank you to Mick aka the handyman for all his help and to Dawn for the apartment, very nice lady. Thanks again we will be sad to leave. Gareth and Laura
June 2009 We had a great time. Air con systems work fine, kitchen and equipment is of a good standard, all electricals worked properly. Availability of essential items such as olive oil, salt, washing up liquid and toilet paper on arrival a great plus. When staying in pafos we recommend visiting the port, monastery, troodos and coral beach for a good time. To conclude we would like to thank Sue and her husband for their friendliness and help while staying at the apartment . Regards Marianne and Ronald .
