The Paphos District
Paphos has something for everyone. A wide variety of restaurants, bars and night clubs, historical places of interest, golf courses nearby, beaches and a really friendly laid back atmosphere. If you were to hire a car then you will find driving in Paphos very easy indeed as you will be driving on the left-hand side of the road, in a right hand side drive car while following road signs written in English. Coral Bay is only 15 minutes away by car (or slightly longer when using the regular bus service). For sun lovers you will enjoy somewhere in the region of 320 days of sun during the year - so don't forget to pack plenty of sun cream.
Kato Paphos / Universal Gardens area
Kato Paphos has many, many excellent restaurants and friendly bars where you can enjoy a refreshing beverage at any time of the day. The Bar Street and Nightlife Street areas are particularly popular. At one end you will find the livelier night clubs and disco bars, while at the other end there are a wide variety of bars and restaurants if you are after a quieter atmosphere.
You will not miss out on any British sports as most bars have not only Sky Sports installed but also other satellite stations so you can always catch up on how your favourite team are getting on. Bars worth visiting include Zorros, Aces, The Water Hole, George and Dragon, Flintstones and The Robin Hood to name just a few.
Most people will eat out at some time while on holiday. We recommend trying Argo, The Agapinor and El Sombrero in and around the Bar Stret area.
A short distance walk from Bar Street are Paphos Harbour and Tomb of The Kings Road. There are many restaurants at the harbour area with many of them specialising in the fresh fish catches of the day. If anything the harbour area bars and restaurants are just that bit more expensive than Bar Street. Coming away from the harbour on the coast road you must try the excellent Chinese restaurant called Chloe's and a bit further down the road a Brazilian restaurant who just keep serving you food until you say "no more". A short walk from the Brasilia are the outstanding Viva Cyprus and the Rib Shack.
On the Tomb Of The Kings Road you will find restaurants of virtually every nationality you can think of. Take a walk down this road and you must try Zorba's for an excellent local meze and the famous Fat Mama's. Finish this off with a pint in O'Neill's. For the historically minded, a tour around the Tombs Of The Kings themselves is a must.
Talking of local meze's, just 15 minutes walk from the apartment is another famous meze restaurant called 7, St. George's. You will love this place!!
Take a trip down to the harbour and book a trip on the Wave Dancer. Day trips, half-day trips and evening theme trips are available. While at the harbour also check out the Mosaics - an absolutely stunning work of art and sophisticated engineering.
If hiring a car, there are many places of interest within a short distance of Paphos. Polis, Pissouri, Kourion Beach, Coral Bay, Latsi and the Troodos Mountains are just a few of the places well within reach and well worth a visit.
How to get there
Flights to Paphos International airport are available from many destinations. From the UK for instance flights from Manchester, Gatwick, Birmingham, Leeds, Exeter, Aberdeen are among those that offer regular flights. Manchester and Leeds airports in particular offer budget flight deals. Easyjet fly from Manchester, while Jet2.com fly from Leeds. We regularly use Easyjet and have found their prices to be excellent value.
The apartment is 15 to 20 minutes from the airport by car. We usually use the same, reliable taxi company who have driven many of our guests to Hesperides. The normal taxi driver knows Hesperides very well and will have you at the apartment in not only double quick time but he will enjoy some lively banter with you on the way to get your holiday off to a cracking start.

"This is a beautiful apartment in an ideal location, exceptionally well furnished and equipped all your needs are provided for. The beds are very comfortable and the apartment is pristine and relaxing. There are two lovely swimming pools on the complex with plenty of sunbeds and brollies available. Both Paphos and Kato Paphos are within walking distance (15-20mins). There is a small Supermarket (approx 10mins away) open 6am - 2am everyday. Paphos has lots of bars and restaurants and a lovely harbour and a really feel-good atmosphere. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely be returning to the apartment in the future and have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to family and friends. Thank you Gill & Frank for our wonderful holiday. "
What can I say the apartment was exceptional beautifully furnished and well equipped everytjing you would need .The location is great only 15 - 20 minute walk to the restaurants and bars.We were there in October and the weather was fantastic, the pool area was very clean it even has showers & changing rooms adjacent to the pool.We all had a fantastic holidayso good we have booked to staythere again this year. I would rate this apartment 10 out of ten. "
"The apartment was outstanding and beautifully decorated and was very well furnished, basically you could easily live there all year round.The location is great too as it is quiet at night so you can sleep.but it is only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and bars.We went in November and the weather was fantastic, we were even in the pool, which was very clean as was the surounding area, which was great for our 2 children aged 10 and 3.We all had a wonderful holiday and have recomended it to family and friends.The apartment would get ten out of ten from myself and my family."
" The Apartment is situated in an ideal position. 20 mins walk in all directions will take you to lots of different bars & restaurants, whatever is your preference you will find within walking distance, or just a couple of £cyp in a taxi. The Apartment itself is beautiful, very modern & spacious, with a large balcony ( many glasses of wine were consumed here ) The Apartment is fully equipped, you dont even need to take socket adaptors, and the air con is a blessing, ( the weather was fabulous in mid oct.) The washing machine & iron were a bonus as well, as we were there for 12 days. Overall we loved the apartment & the location, but an extra bonus was the fabulous pool ( one of two belonging to the apartments ) All I can say to Gill & Frank is thank you for giving me the chance to discover Paphos, I also fell in love with it, and it was the second of, I hope many more times that I will return."
